Some of us have steel horses, and likely don’t look as cool on them as we imagine. Here’s a thread for our toys and adventures.

I live in a university town, and the car drivers here are beyond third world bad. I’m not looking forward to ganja being legalized this summer. Today I mounted a new horn on my 750 Shadow. Nothing says ‘hang up your cell phone and drive’ like 123 decibels of air horn.

This is my current bike, although I haven't ridden much lately because of the double shoulder surgeries. Hoping the second knee surgery that my husband had today will allow him back on his bike and we can ride!

My bike has a Gates Carbon belt drive, but it's not a Harley. It's a Trek. Eight speed internal rear hub with roller brake. Disc front brake. Aluminum frame and carbon fork. Currently running Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires front and rear.
Maybe I'll see if I can get a picture of me with it. I need to replace the shifter; it sometimes doesn't upshift to fourth on the first try anymore.
Great commuter bike. Powered by tacos and coffee.6 -

I edited the title to motorcycle/bicycle to be more inclusive. What do we all ride?0

My current bike is a Yamaha FZ6R. I traded my Harley Sportster 1200 for the Yamaha because I was tired of dragging parts in the curves. I also own a Suzuki TS185 that needs work and a Kawasaki Vulcan 750. The Vulcan is waiting for me to rebuild it. I love that bike! My husband and I did a planned 12,000 mile around the country trip in 2008. The Vulcan made it 11,000 miles before it bit the dust and we had to trailer it home.1

Mine is a 2006 RoadKing Police edition... 1450cc and, yes, the footboards drag in the corners which is frustrating...1

My steel horse is a 2013 Honda Shadow, 750cc. I ride about 5000 miles a year from April to November. I’ve customized it a bit with a Corbin saddle, Kuriyakan signal lights, and a very loud 123 decible horn for the myopic hippies driving in my town.
