So, this is very confusing! To lose fat, my macronutrient ratio should be around 35-40% protein. But I weigh only 116 pounds and that is well over a gram per pound of body weight! What should I really do?

I would go by grams vs. % since depending on your intake it will vary. For example, if I go by % my current protein intake would be over 300g which is way overkill for my needs.
0.8-1g per lb goalweight is plenty.2 -
