Good morning everyone! I am taking the liberty to start the gratitude thread this month because I don't see one for May and I am just stopping in for my monthly update and I am in a time crunch. This morning I found that my loss this month brought me to 50 lbs!!! I hope for my loss in May to also bring me to a 50 lb loss since I started Intermittent Fasting. I have SO many things to be grateful for, but today I want to say how incredibly grateful I am to have found Intermittent Fasting and OMAD (One Meal a Day). It has truly turned my life around!!! I hope you are all doing well and I will stop in again when I have a bit more time. Happy May Day!

How does the OMAD work? Is it calorie based or limited?

DreamOn145, a big congrats on the 50 lbs. lost. Yea, YOU.

    Thanks for getting this going.

I am a huge fan of fasting now, all levels. It keeps me in my goal weight range and I get to eat incredible foods. I do a lot of IFing, a minimum of 4 days a week now. I also love doing 36 hr. fasts. Fasting was the missing link for me, I have yoyoed up and down for over 30 yrs. No more. The 22nd is my one year anniversary in maintenance, I have not gone above my goal weight for even one day. A first for me. I usually get close to goal then start slowly gaining back right away. I am done with that.

If you have Netflix, please watch The Magic Pill. You will not regret it.

Well, I am into my 2nd year of maintenance, 22nd was my one year anniversary. Maintaining is often more of a challenge than losing the lbs. in the first place. Luckily, I learned about fasting protocols and they have kept me under my goal weight this past year.

tsazani, I suggest you mix up the two types of fasting IFing with some longer fasting 24 to 36 hrs. Your body will get use to whatever you are doing. So good to mix it up a bit. You can start by just cutting an hr. from each days eating window.

You eat to satiety. It is best to work your way up to One Meal A Day, start with 14/10 or 16/8 and keep making the eating window smaller.

    Good luck with it.
