Hi guys!
I'm new to this group and low carb in general. I'm not trying to do keto, but would doing just low carb (100g) and higher fat be helpful for me trying to lose weight? Do I still need a calorie deficit? How much fat do you guys eat? I'm all confused lol. Please help!

Do I still need a calorie deficit? Weight loss requires a calorie deficit.
How much fat do you guys eat? I make sure I'm at or under carbs, hitting a healthy protein range (for my height, weight, activity level), the fat is what is left of my calories. At 100g, that's probably going to be like 50% fat-ish. But that really doesn't matter. Worry about your carbs and protein; fat will sort itself as long as you are working to stay in your calorie deficit.

Yes, calories matter, and in my opinion, the type of foods you consume matter as well, but I'll kick that soapbox to the side for now.
Finding the right macros that work for you is very important. I have done Keto in the past where I've kept my carbs under 5% of my total calorie intake. Right now I'm simply doing LCHF so I tend to get around 25-30% of my carbs from fat, about 25-30% from protein, and the rest fat works out to be between 40-50%, and that works very well for me. You'll need to play around with your macros a bit to figure out what works for you.0
