It felt weird to jump into discussions without an intro.

Hi, I'm dragonwolf. I've lifted on and off for something like 7 years now. Unfortunately, it'd been "on and off" due to other health issues, including degenerative disc disease in my lower spine, and associated complications that put me in excruciating pain if I tried to do too much with it.

But I love lifting way too much to let that stop me! So I came up with a routine that works both for my motivation and consistency and schedule, and for dealing with my back. Yay for sustainable programs! (Though boo for having to give up my beloved deadlifts.)

My two primary lifts are bench press and front squat, due to limited space and only a barbell.

I'm up to 125lb for a full 5x5 working set for bench press, and just reached 130 2x5 with it.

My squat progression is much more limited due to pain and whatnot, but as long as I keep up with it, I'm at 60lb for 5x5. I started doing front squats at the end of last year, when I found that back squats put too much shearing force on the bad parts of my back.

I decided to join this group, because I know y'all appreciate my lift progression, and to get ideas for lower body work to supplement what I'm doing already.
