Kar: That definitely must have been a odd sight for sure. I got to see lots of deer laying down. In fact the first two of the five I saw this morning looked like a few day old twin fawns. They were laying in this side yard right out there for everyone to see. One got up and looked at me as if to say, have you seen my mother. No mother around. I am betting she was hit by a car and they are all alone. I hope they survive but the odds are not too good for them.
We had a doe leave her twin babies in our yard for over an hour one day last week. She was off down the hill eating. Hoping the two you saw aren't orphaned.

Congratulations to @CPANUS on making GOAL! Nice job Chris! :drinker:
We have a heat index of 116F here today in Minneapolis/St. Paul....I won't be spending any longer outside today than I absolutely have to. Going to go see a movie in the A/C tonight!
Have a great weekend everyone!

That rips at my little heart. Hoping for a good outcome.
Adding 1.5 miles. All indoors, no wildlife except the people in HIIT class with me

Just_ceci: You May be right. Mother deer are pretty dumb when it comes to their young. I can only hope mom was some where around.
The heat is on here too. Went out at 8 pm to cut grass. This morning I put a ceiling fan in for an elderly neighbor near my dad’s house. My husband talked me through the entire procedure since he is in a sling for six weeks. AmaIngly, I did not electrocute myself.

So nice to have the time yesterday to walk to the library. It was a little toasty to walk home but I stayed in the shade and didn't break any speed records so I made it OK. With that and an evening walk I added another 6.75 miles for a June total of 116.75.

Ended June with a wimpy 1.75 miles. Too hot to walk far so I spent more time weeding the garden in the morning and then cleaning out the cars.
