@mamainthekitchen yes funny how that works!? LOL You follow your WOE and weight comes off! If only it were that simple every week. Sigh...
Hope you had a great weekend everybody!? We went to the beach on Saturday for a few hours. Sunny and hot! Saturday PM we had dinner with friends at their place out on their deck. Yummy! Yesterday we took it easy and roamed around the bookstores for a bit. Got the shopping done and cooking for this week.
Been making this Quinoa "fried rice" for lunch on light days. It is half a cup of quinoa dry, which turns in to much more when cooked! A package of mixed frozen mixed veggies - the kind with corn, peas, green beans, etc. Some sugar snap peas, a little soy sauce, a chopped white onion, and some of the sesame, onion, and sea salt seasoning I have from Trader Joe's. Basically you cook the quinoa and put it a side. Put the chopped onion in a pan and sautee it with some olive oil spray until tender, add it the chopped sugar snap peas and cook until they are softer. Then throw in the bag of frozen veggies and cook until they are heated through. Add the soy sauce while you are cooking for flavor. Mix together with the cooked quinoa and the sesame, onion, and sea salt seasoning. Makes four big servings. We have it with a veggie burger for lunch heated up. I don't have the calorie count on this screen but I can get it for you.
Light Day today for me. Off to fill up my BIG water cup.

Meghan your quinoa dish sounds yum. I like adding cooked quinoa to a Greek salad which makes a meal in itself!
Yup... pretty quiet here - hope all our fasting peeps are having success throughout the summer!
I made pork ribs last night... best, I’ve, ever, done ! and it’s killing me to not eat the leftovers for lunch right now! Not fasting today, but I should be! Gearing up for tomorrow fast day instead. Who’s with me?!0 -

So, I had a salmon burger tonight. Bbq’d a whole fillet of sockeye.,, awesome! Shredded lettuce & some red onion yum yum! Still haven’t fasted this week... had terrible sleeps with the heat and a neighbors’ barking dog, so I’m a tad irritable I guess. Hoping for a good sleep tonight and a great day tomorrow!

Ribs = yummy!! I had some recently when we were away in Arizona. They were from Costco and cooked on the grill, slow and low. Very tasty! Could go for some nice BBQ right about now! LOL
Thanks for the note about the weather! You are correct. On Tuesday night we had a bunch of heavy rain, thunder, and lightening here on the east coast, USA. We had some people who were coming in for a meeting at my office. The woman coming from Seattle, had her flight cancelled so she cancelled all together. The guy from SLC flew out late but got in okay. We didn't have any power outtages (Thank God because that has been happening lately) but we did have the hard rain. No damage or anything which was good. My SUV got a nice bath outside!
Yesterday and Tuesday were good food wise. Today, Thursday is a light day. Looking forward to my Quinoa salad and veggie burger for lunch. Quinoa in Greek Salad sounds awesome!
Tomorrow I am taking a vacation day and we are planning to hit our local beach. Supposed to be another beauty. Saturday night we have rain coming in and then the five days after that might be pretty rainy. Fiured I would get the vacation day in the nice weather while I can!

Hope all is well and everyone is enjoying life. I just wanted to drop in and say hi...hi.
Two long-ish fasts put in this week. It took so long to get past that 100 lb goal...then I just blew past it. Roughly 12 lbs lost in the past 2 weeks. I'm thinking that eating pecans has really helped. They are low in protein and high in fat and fiber. I always have trouble getting my fat count up (and protein count down) in keto and I think I mentioned before that it seems the more fat I eat the more I lose. Also, their ability to suppress appetite is remarkable. I've been using almonds as my goto on fast days, but pecans have taken it to the next level. And maybe it is some sort of placebo effect (I generally feel happier on keto and while fasting), but I think my hair is getting thicker...maybe even growing back in places. The increase in biotin could be one reason...we'll see if this pans out over time.
Water water everywhere...looks like lots of rain for everyone recently. July seems to be like this every year here in New Orleans.

It looks like our most important threads are gone...the ones we had setup as announcements on the main page. It was either deleted by MFP for some reason or one of the leaders of the group did it (doubtful).
I'm going to put in a call today to see what's up.
It's possible we won't be able to get these back...

I have found some of the threads through google, but for some reason they don't show up in the announcement list or the thread list. This must be an error on MFP's side. I may not be able to deal with this until Monday, but the good news is that they still appear to be on the site...just out in limbo somewhere.1

Just a quick update:
It looks like it is a new bug on MFP with the announcements. Once I went in and found the threads from google I turned the "Announce" off and they started showing up in the discussion/thread section again. Whew...
I've only had a chance to do 3...I can't remember the names of the others (I think we had 6 or 7 threads up there).
Anyway, wife and kids are coming home from Italy this weekend (for good...finally) and I doubt I'll be checking in till next week.2 -

CRAZY week here! And I don't think it is going to slow down until after school starts back up.
Forgot to weigh in this morning... sort of. I decided not to when I realized I hadn't yet. I wasn't *terrible* this last week, but I didn't fast or log, so I decided to just move on without any guilt.
