    Good evening OMAD-ers ❤️😘

It's a crazy day today but I survived. 😜 As always, drive my kids to school, picked up my DD after school and since DS had a school educational excursion, had to pick him up at 5pm from school. After that, had to drive them for their karate. I was a speedy gonzales driver today for sure😂😂😂

OMAD was of high calories today. I practically finished most of this tub of ice cream. My 2 kids had some of it too.

    x329lu6v01p3.jpg

As for exercises, going to try doing HIIT for 30 mins this evening. I heard that one can burn up to 300 calories with 30 mins of HIIT. Not sure if it's true or not🤔🤔🤔

As for water, I am now drinking 2L a day which I am happy wirh💦👍😊

Hope you guys are having a wonderful Tuesday ❤️😘

Ah...I forgot to set my goal for my body measurement

I was talking to my mate (he is the PT) the other day and he said that the ideal body measurement for my height (he still remembers my height, can you believe that?!!) should be:

    Chest: 83.7 cm ~ 33 inches
    Waist: 58.46 cm ~ 23 inches
    Hip: 86.9 cm ~ 34 inches
    Thigh: 50.6 cm ~ 20 inches

If I do compare with that stats, then I have to lose 9 cm (waist) and 6 cm (hips)

Chest: 83 cm (Don't need to lose anything here :) )
Waist: 67 cm (OMG, almost 9 cm, roughly 3.5 inches)
Hips : 93 cm (Need to lose 6cm, roughly 2.3 inches)

    Body Measurements:
    11 Feb - 83cm-67cm-93cm (roughly in inches 32.6-26.3-36.6)
    17 Feb - 83cm-66cm-92cm (roughly in inches 32.6-25.9-36.2)

Oh well, its going to be a challenge I tell ya. But we shall see. He said that he will meet up with me in 2 months time and if I win, he will bring my whole family for a nice dinner. I am dying to meet his partner which he is so secretive about...lol. DH is curious too as we know he has very high class taste. Got to work hard :)

It has been a very cold day today and that's a bit weird when we are still in Summer🤔 But... I prefer it when the weather turns colder👍😊 Currently its 10°C (50°F) and I am loving it☺️😁

    Exercise - 30 mins HIIT
    Liquid - 2L water & 2 soda

I really hope that I will win the challenge. HIIT is hard, I tell you. The first few days were the hardest but now, I am able to keep up with it now. I am in Day 11 today. Fingers crossed 🤞🤞🤞hope to see my body change a little by little😬☺️

Have a wonderful Wednesday and let's OMAD on❤️😘👍

So cold! And my workplace is even colder! There were people wearing jackets inside and everything. So I totally froze yesterday. I love the cold too, but only when I can be warm - and you do get extra cold when fasting!

    Good afternoon OMADers <3

Got up this morning and weighed myself and I am up 0.7kg (roughly 1.5lbs) :( As I am doing HIIT, I have been measuring myself too. So, I am now 82-66-87. So, I have loss some cms. I decided to call my mate who is the PT and ask him about my weight thingy. He told me to throw the scales away and sent me this picture which I will share with you guys. This picture is not mine. It was sent to me to prove that weight does NOT matter. Measurements matter as he puts it.

    qfhyimpdhruh.jpg

Honestly, I must admit and even DH complimented me several times after I started doing HIIT that my body shape has improved. So, I guess HIIT is working nicely :) The biggest change is my hips and I just can't believe that I loss 5cm since 17th Feb. I think I have to get more HIIT exercises that targets on my abs and waist. Secondly, I can also wear my DD's size 6 jeans now and zipping it up is no longer a problem  I am not going to change my jeans to a size 6 now, I will just wait a little while longer till I can't wear my size 8 as its too loose. Trying to save money here. The school fees statements have arrived and as parents, we have to always put our kids first. I am also seriously thinking of not weighing myself any more as it still depresses me when the numbers go up.

Furthermore, after seeing that photo my PT mate sent me, I googled and found other photos that prove that weight doesn't really matter. I would love to have a more defined body shape to be honest. I guess I will continue to do HIITs till I reach my GBM :)

OMAD - Hainanese Roast Chicken Rice, Stir-fry Mixed Veggies,Crystallized Candied Ginger, 15 pcs Lays Potato Chips and Grapes . (Total calories =1019)
Exercise - I did 45 mins HIIT yesterday (Fri, 21 Feb) and I am trying to get in 45 mins of HIIT this evening too.
Liquid - So far, I drank 2 diet soda, 1L water...hopefully by tonight I will finish up my 2L water bottle.

Apologies...didn't remember to take a photo of my OMAD before I started tucking in. As you can see, DH has already eaten quite a lot.. To ensure that I eat less carbs, I use a soup bowl (some calls it a soup plate) and ensure that I carbs are no more than 170g or less. I normally weighs my rice

Wanted to share some points my PT mate texted me:
    1. Your weight only tells how heavy you are, and nothing about your body composition, which is the proportion of fat and fat-free mass in your body.
    2. Aim for more muscle mass and less body fat and you will have a healthy, sexy body that you will be proud of. You will get a body with more definition.
    3. Throw away your scales for goodness sake

Well, I am nervous as I depend on Mr Scale so much.😫😫😫 What if I gain back all my weight? What ifs, what ifs, what ifs.. DH told me to just weight once in 2 weeks or even once per month but measure myself weekly. I guess I will just take it slow, one day at a time...

Oh well.. apologies of my rattling.

    Have a wonderful weekend ❤️😘

Wait - what? There’s Hainanese ROAST chicken rice? Why did I not know about this? Hainanese chicken rice is one of my all-time favourite foods, and this looks amazing!

OK so on to the other stuff.

There’s a lot to unpack here. First up, let me just say that your PT mate is pretty much sent from heaven. Not just for you but for ALL of us who have an issue with the scales. That picture is an absolutely stunning example of how meaningless the scales can be. He (I think you said it’s a he!) speaks words of wisdom. Not necessarily for everyone with scales but for those of us who arw obsessive about them.

This is me, by the way. This is why I refuse to weigh myself. Not because I’m in denial about how big I’ve got or because I’m virtuous in any way, but because I have an unhealthy relationship with the bloody thing. Been there, done that, and I know there’s a slippery, unbalanced slope I would fall down really quickly.

I don’t have the answers for you around all the what ifs, but please remember that scales never stopped anyone from gaining weight. You are a self determining person with agency, and every day you make choices; most of them, from what I can see, are sensible adult choices that will keep you at a healthy weight. That’s you - not the scale. Don’t ascribe powers to the scale that it simply does not have.

Anyway - sounds like you have some thinking to do!

I think for a lot of us here (myself for certain) the number on the scale in the past has "defined us, held us hostage, controlled us". For me, now, it is just a way to see to where I am. With the spinning for me, I can tell my clothes are fitting differently, I have more energy, etc. I haven't taken measurements but I may do that just to see. The best thing for me about OMAD is just the control that i have over food now. It no longer controls me. I think that is my thought process now with the scale. I am in control of it and it doesn't affect me like it has in the past.......

I think you are on the right track with the measurements! You are super dedicated, and I know you will get to a happy place soon!!

    Hugs <3

@Morena_2020 - Oh yes, there's roast chicken Hainanese chicken rice and that's our family's favourite too. You are so right, my PT mate is an awesome mate. I never thought he would be a PT though as he always wanted to be a PE Teacher....lol. I have now started measuring myself and weighing myself weekly. Besides that, I am also using the mirror to look at myself to see if I can see more definition in my body...I think that's the word for it. Even with my weight of 55kg, I am able to fit into size 6 jeans and that speaks a lot to me. DH is also looking this new me as he said I am hot and sexy now

@volgirl1322 - Thank you <3 Yes, its so true, Mr Scale really do define us, held us hostage and control us in one way or the other. Yes, exercising (be it spinning, HIIT, etc) will create a better body composition and definition and our clothes will fit better and we will look sexier  You are doing awesome, girl :+1:

So, it was a cheat day for me and I can tell you, I tried to control my calories but I failed badly :( When I got home, I did 45 mins HIIT just to comfort my silly self

Monday and Tuesday should be call my recovery day from my cheat day...finally am getting back up onto my little OMAD wagon. Managed to do 40 mins of HIIT on Monday and hopefully this evening too (Tue). As for OMAD, Monday calories - 1029 and today, its 1087 calories. As for my liquid, managed to get down 2L water on Monday and hopefully by tonight, I will get in my 2L.

Here's a photo of my Chicken Donburi. I OMAD at 11am today.
