Snack Options?

I share my food diary and was chatting with a couple MFP folks and it would seem I am struggling with keeping up my protein levels. I'm not on any special diet - ie. no low carb, high protein ones - but simply want to try and balance my macro ratios as 45% carb ; 25% fats; and 30% protein.
I used to lift weights big time and used protein shake supplementation whenever I did so - I tend to easily build muscle and bodybuilding was fun for awhile but it truly 'chains you to the gym'.
Now that I'm in my fifties I've given it much thought and decided I now wish to change things up, as I do not want bulk but to lose body fat and develop a more svelte physique along with a 'whole foods' oriented dietary lifestyle (so MINIMAL to NO Processed Foods - including shake supplementation). Note - I do use Orgain Organic Meal Replacement shakes twice a week as I'm currently in an aggressive weight loss mode, but it has good organic based ingredients and it's only a short term measure.
So, long story short, my GOAL for next week is to change my snacking habits. No more coffee and a muffin! Instead I plan to have minimally processed organic bison pepperoni (nitrate free); wild salmon chorizo sausages; turkey jerky (also nitrate free); and good old hard boiled eggs as my snacking options (for now). Much higher protein content, which should help with my overall daily protein intake levels...
PS> I'm open to any 'whole food' oriented protein based snack options if you are willing to share them. Thanks

Hard-boiled eggs are one of my favorite go to items. But, you've already mentioned that. I'll give it some thought.0

Another vote for hard boiled eggs.
Btw, muffin is another word for cake. No idea how the muffin ended up as a “healthy” pick.0 -

If you like deviled eggs, you can do a pretty healthy version.
Is deli meat too processed? I like to wrap things in Dietz and Watson smoked turkey breast ... dill pickle Spears, cheese sticks of varios flavors, red pepper and green onion with a little spread (I like celantri lime mayo).0 -
Sounds like you have a good system you're working FCG--good for you. My experience as an almost 60 year-old male is that I conform to the GOADie mantra of "Weight loss happens in the kitchen. Toning happens in the gym." My 80-pound loss was exclusively from eating less and making healthier choices. The only thing I can think to add to your list of snacks is more nuts. I find their protein and healthy fats work well for me, but I definitely have to watch my intake of them. I keep a small tupperware of roasted, unsalted cashews in the car, but sometimes I have to throw it behind the seat so I don't overindulge...0

I like roasted chick peas. Also, greek yogurt is great choice (throw in some high fiber crunchy cereal- FiberOne works well for this) for texture.0
