Intro

Hey All,

My name is Amina. Figured I'd make an intro post about myself on here. So glad I was invited to this group. This past year, I gained about 25 lbs from stress eating. In April, weighing in at 156 (I'm 5'6" for reference) I decided things needed to change. I started working out with a personal trainer once a week and lost about 5 lbs, but that got expensive fast. I have lots of friends who have had great results from Beachbody programs, so I decided to bite the bullet and buy Insanity. I am in the middle of my 3rd week right now and love it. I have lost about 1 lb a week so far and am hoping that my results continue to be this great going into the second month; I can tell I am much stronger and can go for longer during the workouts. I weighed in at 146 last week, so I'm 10 lbs down and halfway to my goal. Hoping that as I continue to dig deeper I can drop these last 10 lbs! It is so gratifying to see the changes and I feel so much healthier, lighter, more energetic. What was everyone else's results in terms of losing weight with insanity? I think I am probably retaining water still at this point, but I could be wrong. Really hoping I can lose these last 10 lbs in the next 6 weeks, think I can do it??

    Hi and its great to have you here. I am restarting Insanity on Monday. I was on day 15 but had to quit due to a shoulder injury at work. From the several challenge groups I have been in most of the changes occur in month 2. You can lose the last 10 pounds. Keep eating healthy and do your best and you will have the results.

  • Hi, im also on insanity im on week four day 5 currently.
    Im enjoying it, but I also have to talk myself into working out sometimes.
    At my heaviest I weighed over 14st on a 5'4 frame. When srarted insanity I was 13st 5.
    I started insanity as u dont have time for a gym im a full time mum. They only time I get to work out is when my youngest is asleepfor the night. So home dvds are all I can do. Im looking forward to seeing the results so my clothes fit better, even buy smaller clothes, my two eldest do the dvd with me sltho dont put their heart and soul in it but they see me working out now so I hope that will be positive for them. I have been wondering how many rounds I have to do of insanity before im near the size I want and go into maintenance.
    I have had people ask me what size I want to get down to, but I carnt tell them.. I want to keep my shape I like it but i don't want the amount of nody fat im carrying around.
    The diet for me take bit of getting use to as I do not like to cook I find it boreing and fustrateing but im giving it ago.
    I fwel alot better now ive cut bread out... oh jeez tge amount of bread I use to eat is tones but now I have had very little bread, wholemeal or otherwise.
    So here to my quest of looking and feeling better about myself.

    Amina great job on your loss so far. You are doing great and that last 10 pounds will come off. Month 2 is where the greatest results take place.

    Michaela graet job to you too. I have not done Insanity yet because of how overweight and large I was. It is on my goals to do soon. Cutting out bread made a big difference to me too. I used to eat a lot of bread. I feel much better no eating it. Keep up the great work.
