It's time for our mid-month sharing of Non-Scale Victories such as was shared yesterday such as getting rid of clothing that is too big for you.
For me, I have lost 1" around my waist over the last two months. My cardio-strength workout has shown consistent improvement too.
How about you..what are you happy about?

Yes x3 today for me
My most recent NSV is repping 3x10 squats with a 12.5kg barbell without getting DOMS for the next week! Leg day is finally getting more bearable11 -
The clothes I bought fora trip mid-Sept are too big
I have more energy and endurance
The increased fitness is having a pisitive effect on my riding as I start my horse back into training after a long injury layoff.11 -
I got home last Monday with a vicious dose of airplane flu and have either been in bed or at work since. Yes, not even any jiu jitsu, that's how bad it was!!! The trip was AMAZING and I want to go back. That is a real pyramid in the background and I was the only one brave enough to go hands free on the camels (also the only one who wanted to ride them again!!!) I fell in love with almost everything about Egypt and am now fluent in Arabic numerals and learning more words via whatsapp from a new friend I made there.
I'm obviously not in running for Winner's Circle, but keen to get back into routine and prep for the next round of competitions (the big one is the first weekend in December). I will start logging my food and exercising again tomorrow.
My NSV is not putting on weight while in Egypt despite the amount of food our hosts gave us and limited exercise (although a walk around the streets at lunch time resulted in buckets of sweat due tot he heat!)
I have about 5 kg to drop to making fighting weight and 47 days to get there...13 -
@Dory_42 Beautiful pic. Travel is always inspiring!3

I feel like I'm losing weight in my face. My scale is not showing my progress daily, but I'm not letting the scale cause me to stop. This week I'm still focusing on low carbs. This method is the best one I have every incorporated in my weight loss journey. I hope everybody has a great week!9

Just feel so much healthier! Am soooo happy you are here, thank you everyone!

NSV - Acknowledging the one thing only I can control in my life, is what I choose to consume. Mostly I succeed, other days are a challenge. As long as the good days outnumber the bad I can be assured of healthy, long term results. This approach allows for the occasional bad day with forgiveness for not being perfect, and a fresh start every 24 hours. Doesn't get any better!5 -

Welcome back @Dory_42 !!
You have been missed. I'm glad you had a wonderful experience!3 -
Yes x 3. NSV for me has been my attitude adjustment. I've been consciously working on not stressing out, and taking life as it comes. I had a tooth flare a couple of nights ago, and knew I'd end up with a root canal, which I got this morning. I was kind of in the dumps because I was in too much pain to work out over the weekend, needed to take time off work today, and missed a couple of nights of sleep. Then I got to thinking. I'm lucky to have money to pay for the dentist, lucky to have someone who got me in first thing this morning, and I was able to take an easy workday. I used to be so broke, that dental problems were a major catastrophe. I know they still are for a lot of people. I'm grateful that I can take care of myself, and realize what a luxury it is to think about things like diet, health and exercise.13

NSV is that I have to monitor my heart rate and now I’m finding I can exercise at the same level, or run at the same pace, and my heart doesn’t pump as fast and work so hard because of my weight loss.

i guess my only real NSV for this month is that i can now, finally, look in the mirror and not immediately see myself as a goblin LOL. body image will always be a struggle but i'm getting better. it helps to stay off media that's too materialistic & vain
but i feel like i slacked off a bit too much this month. gotta get back to my routine -hmph- it's only half way through the month tho, i'm determined to do better now 🌟
