Just trying to lose 10 lbs...

Any ideas? I'm pretty sedentary (student), work out intensely 3x a week for an hour, and a walk every day with the dog. Any ideas?

I've got 10lb to go too. For me I plan to lose by calorie counting.. I eat too much icecream and rice. Adding in tuna, fish, Chicken instead of so much red meat. I am going to do some walking workouts.. Leslie sansone, dancing, aerobics as well as walking/jogging. I'll add you :)

Set your account up to lose a half pound a week and start logging your food intake. You don't need to exercise to lose weight, but you do need to be consuming less calories than you burn. Lots of people find a food scale helps with accuracy (I'm one of them) and I also recommend checking out all of the getting started sticky threads in the main forum for tips on how to use the food database and log correctly. Good luck!

I'm trying to lose 10 pounds too! I found what was really helpful on top of everything all the girls have suggested as well is to do an InBody test. You can probably find an inbody machine or something similar at a one of those health supplement stores (NutriShop, etc.). I think this is helpful because it gives you a measurement of how much fat/muscle you have per pound of body weight, and it also tells you the amount of kcals your body needs to survive. This gives you a good baseline around where your caloric intake should be, and a realistic picture of when you're at a deficit. Combine that with all the other advice the girls have given you and you'll lose 10 lbs easily!
