Saw a new dr and she recommended a gama thing for hot flashes. that's not what it's orginal use was, though, it's a kidney thing I think.

She was very keen on Prozac, though - has anyone tried either of these things?

Gaba pentin. Interesting. I have some gaba at the house (the dog's, for pain)... wonder what dose.
My sister was on gaba for pain for quite a while. Wonder what she's say.

I wonder if the "natural" gaba supplements would help. I tried them for sleep, and they did help a bit.

I'm not going to say CAUSATION, yet, BUT: I've been taking two GABA 750mg GABA supplements since October 23 and I have had almost no hot flashes, and my sleep is much less interrupted by night sweats. It may be coincidence, but I do notice a change.
