We ended up getting some walking yesterday. We walked by the Acropolis, through Plaka, and through the old city (Anafiotika), zigzagging through the narrow streets, and back around and then let the kids play with some kids by the church. I ended up accidentally falling asleep and DH put both kids to bed without me. That was nice.
^^Sammy, was today's quote inspiration for your little 15cal run yesterday? lol
Still vacay, still no plans, which I am going to have to enjoy, seein' as how when everything starts back in September, we'll probably be booked solid with activities. One thing that's changed is that I've started a real cut (aka, "diet"). (boohoo!) I was advised to diet down before trying to add muscle mass by eating at or above maintenance + lifting. So, I'm eating at a deficit from now until probably the end of the year--how ever long it takes. I will, of course, take occasional breaks and re-feed days. I actually maintained pretty well eating at my maintenance level, until just recently when my activity level dropped dramatically on our "staycation" and I think I pretty much got my metabolism up where I want it and I'm hoping that it will stay up, with careful monitoring. I also learned alot about my calorie needs and can pretty much guesstimate what I'm burning based on different activity levels. So that's good. Now for the real business of gettin' lean!
So, anyway, TGIF! Have a great day!0 -
TGIF! Time stands still for no man...or woman for that matter...lol!
Completed my second session of lower body heavy lifting workout this morning. It was tough as usual and like I wanted. I can't believe that my 7th week of this fitness program is done!
Sherry, it's good to know one's body mechanics when it comes to balancing food and fitness. Sounds like you have a handle on it.
Everyone, have a fantastic day and weekend.0 -
I did TUFF Lower Body 2 & was able to go up slightly in weights. I followed that with a Swiss ball body weight workout & then Les Mills Combat Inner Warrior Stretch & Strength.
Eating enough to fuel workouts is to very important. I wish more people would get that.0 -
I got up at 0400 hrs and got my SL5x5 in before work. I have decided to up my calories to maintenance and "reset" for two weeks. I'm within 5 lbs of what IPOARM suggests as my "ideal weight", so at this point, I'm not sweating the numbers as much. I am going try and hide my scale - not sure if that will happen or not. :laugh:0

Had a crappy calorie day. I tried to make up for it by creating a high intensity training with stair running and rowing with my husband's bodylastics [this felt really hard core...I ended up running 2 minutes up stairs (timed with stopwatch- down stairs walk time counted as walking mod pace) and doing 120 squat rows total]
but after spending from 7:15 to 6:00 working I'm just really tired. I'll have to eat at a deficit tomorrow and possibly Sunday too. Oh yeah, I also did my daily calisthenics.
Good night all!
Sherry: That quote must be my theme! lol0
