I have a recipe that calls for flour as a thickener. Can I substitute almond flour? If so, is it equal quantities? Recipe only calls for 3 tablespoons.

Almond flour won't work as a thickener. Pick up some xanthan gum, and use use about 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon per 1 cup of flour called for in a recipe.

I second the xanthum gum...it's pretty easy to find, even my local Walmart has it, and I live in the sticks lol

XG works so well. There's a reason it was used so much before we keto'ers stumbled upon it.
