macro confusion

I just did heybales spreadsheet and learned I've been overeating by around a hundred calories. :-/ UGH. Noticed that the macros it suggests is 60% carbs and 20% for the rest. I thought it was supposed to be 40-30-30. Does this make a huge difference? I guess I'm not understanding how the macros make a difference in weight loss. Should I be eating more carbs and less protein? The lower fat makes me sad too. Goodbye bacon.

That spreadsheet is not attached to this group or necessarily in line with our suggestions (I have no idea if it is or not as have not seen the macro recommendations).

The 40/30/30 is not in line with ours either as we do not believe basing macros off percentages of calories ideal at all. For example, protein should be based off your size and activity and whether you are at a deficit), and not vary based on caloric intake. In fact, as your deficit gets bigger, protein should ideally go up, not down, which is what happens when using percentages.
