I learned today that arm and or leg movement can help lesson the severity and length of some symptoms of migraines. So get out there and MOVE! :p

    Can't wait to get out there again. I hope it's soon. I won't even complain...for the first week anyway...about the dark and the cold. :D

    Yes, it does and he shows us everything that matches the color. They had a great time. His first Trick or Treat! Wish we could have gone but we had Play Doh to get out there!

    144.0 this morning at 5:00. Boy howdy, I really dislike this creeping up business. And I was really good yesterday! I know the creep-up is from a few days ago but ...Man! eeek!

    I hate creeping weight gain! How dare it. I would have had to buy lots of clay. Almost ran out of candy. My favourite color was green when I was a little girl. Now it is all shades of pink!

    I did not weigh in this morning. To chicken. :s

    141.5 this morning. Not too thin yet, still have a layer of fat under the skin. :) But at the lower end of my goal range. Feels good.

    144.0 this morning at 7:00. **sigh** I know a 5:00 weigh in would have been horrific. Being good today. Got a hair cut...maybe that'll help shed about four pounds. bwahahaha! Nopey, nope!

    143.8 at 6:00 a.m. At least it's a tiny bit down! Gotta just keep working at it.

    Free Sunday. Might just finish the book I'm reading and start book four in the series. A new Jack Reacher book is out this week. Excited! I have tomorrow on my calendar, but I'm thinking it's gotta be Tuesday. Must check on this.

    Chris my hair is to my waist again. So time for a big trim! Paula could be right, hair is heavy! Lol

    I am so glad I can count you all as friends. Our world is going nuts! It is nice to know that most people are better than what we hear on the news. Kathy told me that we are better than that once. She is right.

    Some folks are simply out of their minds. Why do they care what another person thinks or believes. It's none of their business. I can't imagine what even drives them to do some of the horrid things they do. Twisted.

    Picking up the boys shortly. Working out w/our trainer at noon.

    Got DDD's Christmas gift and ordered one raceway for Ronan. Don't know what SIL wants yet.

    We'll play with the boys for a while this morning and then head out for the voting station down the block. If I was walking we would walk there but I'm a Rolling Chair Potato!!!

    UGH! Didn't weigh this morning. I was slugging down my meds before I even thought about it. I slept straight thru the night...I haven't done that in years and years. It is so strange...I feel the bones in my butt. I know I don't really, but it feels like I can feel them rub against each other. Weird and odd...I must say. DH thinks, maybe, it is caused by the new pillow and where my body starts the upward angle. We're checking it out tonight. Then I'll have to see if I do it again.

    Playin' w/the boys and working out w/our trainer is on the schedule for today. What are you guys planning for today?

    143.5 for me this morning, Chris. We're definitely swimming in the same range!

    I am now SIL of a school board member. Was at her election victory party last night - especially fun because she was the top vote-getter for the two open positions.

    Well you two have been busy.

    Chris I have been planning a new weight routine at the gym. The gym is free. It is jointly owned by the Sheriff and Police Department. And is very close to work. So Angie and I are planning on starting there Monday. Looking forward to it.

    Have fun at your new gym Shelley. Hope you guys have a blast. Can you get a trainer for free too? That would be so cool.

    I got a new book...The Strength Training Anatomy Workout - Frederic Delavier & Michael Gundill...it's really cool. Got it on Amazon. It shows which muscles you are working and seems to only use hand weights. Even DH likes it a lot.

    Picking up the boys in a few mins and that is what Thursday looks like.

    171.1 this morning. Scale not moving consistently in right direction. Will deal with this after vacation. Headed to the Dominican Republic in the morning for a week. I just want to relax on the beach and get some rest. I really need it.

    Kathy I need photos. Have to live my vacations through hearing about yours. So lots of insight please. And kick that darn scale.

    Chris I love hand weights. They do not hold you into unnatural positions! I also should look at the book. There is an officer there that we work with. I am sure he would give us pointers. But I want to walk still! LOL

    Paula that is an awesome weight. I have not been weighing lately. I need to get back on it.

    The gym was great. Angie and I were a little lost at first. But we quickly figured out where everything was. Just wish I knew what the bars weighed. There is such a difference! My mom is recovering after her surgery. She seems to be doing good. We (meaning Rocky and his friend, LOL) gutted her guestroom. Putting up sheetrock and insulation. Got rid of the old 60's paneling. Found an open pack of Lucky Strikes in the wall. A letter from my son and an emerald ring that my daughter tossed 17 years ago! The cigarettes were at least 50 years old. So not returning them!

    We get the boys this afternoon so DDD & SIL can have a date night. We'll have some fun today. I'm going to go get peppermint (??**and ice cream**??) for our trip tomorrow (??**ice cream for tonight**??) to Union City for a doc's appt for DH. She's a specialist for something bothering him. It's only taken years for someone smart enough to recommend her instead of giving him drugs. **sigh** Got my fingers crossed, anyway.

    That's about it for now.

    Chris I hope his appointment went well and something was taken care of. Ice cream? Did someone say ice cream? Yum!

    I made rolls today and froze them for Wednesday. They are cornmeal crescent rolls. And I made 64. They are for a potluck dinner for the car club. Then I went and soaked all my sore muscles in the hot tub. Yesterday's workout is killing me. :#

    141.1 yesterday 142.5 today. Narrowed my goal range to 140-143, and it's working. But the overweight part of my brain doesn't want to stop losing weight. Since there are still a few extra pounds, I might just experiment slowly, one pound at a time.

    I am getting lots of compliments and my skin and fat feel good. Need to add muscle - that's where you guys are soooo inspirational! (Love the free weights, Chris.) We'll see what that does to the body composition.

    Yesterday I was trying on clothes (sadly realizing most of my size 8 wardrobe is already slightly too big) but discovering that I can wear a tunic over leggings with tall boots now and - omg - it actually looks okay.

    If I'm not exactly at goal yet, it's awfully close. It's fun figuring this out. We'll see...

    • So much has come to pass: heart repair, weight loss, losing a boss (work is fun now!), freedom to be who I am; living in the moment, loving music, learning to trust, embracing joy.
    • Still harboring dreams: a little surgery, a little skin removal, some classy tattoos (a celtic dragon on one leg and the tree of life wrapping up the other leg and around my back), and then who knows... retirement? traveling? maybe even fall in love someday, god willing.

    I will leave this workout up for the second half of the month if you ladies would like. I know how to make that work!!

    My weight is up and my body doesn't know what's what. Ugh!

    Shelley, I goofed...the appt for DH is Monday...tomorrow...not today. Crazy me.

    Wow Paula! You are redefining yourself. You are becoming increasingly inspirational to me. I must jump on your and Chris roadster to a new me. We will be looking for new pictures. You sound so full of excitement and happiness. Now bit those weights for upper body strength!

    Chris tomorrow is a holiday. Are you sure his appointment is then? :p

    Paula - in my email I can select the emails I want to delete and I have a delete button at the top.

    The top row of choices...Delete...Archive...Junk...etc only appear AFTER I have selected the emails I want to do something with. Maybe this will help you. Or, maybe, call a computer tech to come out and help you. Or maybe you can do a telephone call for tech help. I worked with a woman who had a tech come out to her house when she was having issues.

    So...my weight is up...149.6... because someone can't get out and do her daily walk. Those 5 miles a day really help me keep my weight down. Can't wait to get back to it. Foot is getting better each day.

    Picking up the boys in a few mins. Must put my shoes on.
