Like to say hi to the group.
I’m 51
Just had blood test to say I’m menopausal
On merina coil and citalopram-
Seems to be keeping symptoms to a minimum .

Just weight normally is easy to loose. But quite hard at moment, It is coming off slowly I guess. I’m exercising, now logging food.
I have to weigh good more than I am doing .
Just wanted to hear if anyone has any insights as to what works and what is a no no at this time of life.

Welcome! I wish I had the magic recipe for you. I am finding that my carbs need to be lower to keep cravings at bay.
It's not as easy as it used to be to lose weight, that's for sure.

    Welcome to the party!!!

If by party you mean a collection of symptoms that no one wants and yet very few escape from???

As for weight loss, just keep at it....slow loss is better than gaining...stalls are better than gaining...don't give up!!!

If there's a good way to lose weight during menopause I have not found it! Regular exercise definitely helps but it's really slow going!

Think of it as a good time to adopt a healthy lifestyle! I think if i saw quick results I'd do it then go back to old ways... because I'd know i could get back there when I wanted. And then do it again when i felt like it. But that's kinda what I've done most of my life and what's gotten me 60 pounds overweight, because it does get harder thw older we get, especially without those hormones. This time make it your lasting lifestyle. Eat thoughtfully and enjoy every bite, exercise = strength, moderation = sustainability. The only no-no i can think of is giving up. Nice to meet you, @celia654321! Have a super day
