Spaghetti??!

For those with awful pasta cravings (me), my boyfriend stumbled across an awesome alternative for the low-carbers! (And maybe keto).
It's an edamame pasta. Edamame is the only ingredient so there isn't all kinds of fillers. I was skeptical, but the texture is by far the closest I've come across and there isn't a strong veggie taste. I personally felt like I was eating "real" pasta. Here's an image of the box and the nutrition for those interested. My local grocery store sells it but I also saw other pasta variations on Amazon.

Costco used to sell a black bean spaghetti that was super delicious...but I haven't found it anywhere else and sadly the one near me no longer carries it.2

Cool find! I'll have to try it.0

Looks ok for something to break up the zoodles routine.
Lots of protein and potassium is great. As long as soy causes you no issues this would be doable.0 -
I'll give those a try. For my spaghetti sauce, I usually use zucchini zoodles, green beans or cauliflower rice as a base. Spaghetti would be a real treat.1

Yep, my hubby and I use these all the time. I have Celiac disease so no regular pasta for me and he gets the same meal because...'Danger, Will Robinson!' (sorry - esoteric vintage TV reference, lol) I also like the black bean pasta because it makes me feel like I'm getting squid ink pasta in Italy (just dreaming.) You can also get it in different shapes and other bean bases like adzuki, mung/edamame mix, and regular soybean. It's in all our chain grocers and local grocers here, but we are on the West side of the country and my little town is into healthy eating, sport, and culture. Not cheap, but then again cheap pasta has been part of the SAD problem, lol.
New packaging for less waste (unless you buy the BIG bulk pak at Costco.)

Wow! It’s not keto on its own, but with some meat and a nice rich alfredo sauce it totally could be. I’m going to look out for these!1

Hmm …soy is inflammatory to all humans, no?

Hmm, not sure... Okinawans have been eating a fair amount of soy for generations and they are some of the longest lived peoples. I think it's the GMO soy that's a problem. I try to eat organic if at all possible. History and characteristics of Okinawan longevity food. nih.gov/Pubmed article.1 -

I'll have to look for the other ones again! It was the only one at my store that I noticed. Worst case...the internet has my back.rfrenkel77 wrote: »Hmm …soy is inflammatory to all humans, no?
It might be an n=1 thing. I've not heard of that issue myself, and never experienced it if my reaction in my joints to carbs is any indication. (Could be wrong though.)0
