My name is Vicki and I had RNY at 60 years of age. I have lost 10 pounds since surgery for a total of 50 pounds. My diet was advanced to Phase 2 yesterday. I’d love to have a couple of bypass buddies.

I’m 17 days away from my four year surgiversary of having my sleeve converted to RNY (due to reflux of bile). So, I’m a bit further out but am willing to help as I can.
Sounds like you’ve got a great start! I hope your recovery continues to be uneventful!!1 -
Phase 2? Every surgeon is different. For me, our second step was all liquids. Any "graduation" was exciting! lol!
I had VSG, but we're all here to help one another!

I'm going to assume you meant speed bumps, lol.
I had a lot of pain upon standing, under my left breast after the surgery. They kept telling me it was normal pain, but kept me an extra day anyway. I would stand up and then have to wait for the pain to subside. It felt like it started at the top of my abdomen and oozed down and away. Don't know how else to describe it. A couple days after I got home, I got severe pain in my left shoulder blade. I called the doctor's hotline (because this kind of stuff always happens at night or weekends, this one was both) and she (not my doctor, but one of the partners) told me it was normal and there wasn't anything she could about it. It was sooo bad and I had to wait until morning and then headed to the closest urgent care center. They ran a bunch of tests and did a cat scan or ultrasound, can't remember which, and then sent me off to the emergency room. As it turned out, my spleen had been nicked during the surgery and I had a hematoma (a bunch of blood pooled in my upper abdomen) and that was the cause of the pain. Lucky me got to spend another few days in the hospital and it took about 3 months for that to heal. Since then, everything has been pretty peachy. That was my speed bump.
Oh, my pulse rate was super high for the first 3 months, too. That was scary, but also normal per my surgeon.2 -

Read lots about people’s experiences, I went back a few years in the MFP groups and forums, every question I came up with had an answer somewhere!!!
My speed bump was feeling really lonely during recovery when I couldn’t go to work, and didn’t really have the energy to go out with friends yet, my family didn’t understand that!!3
