stuffed pepper and cabbage roll soup

stuffed pepper soup or cabbage roll soup
2 cans petite diced tomatoes
1 bay leaf
1 pound of ground beef
2 cups instant rice
water
tomato sauce 1 small can
1 can crushed tomatoes large can
1 onion diced fine
for cabbage soup dice 1 head cabbage fine
for stuffed pepper soup 4 peppers cleaned really well no seeds white veins
diced in 1/2 inch cubes
pepper
mozz cheese or provolone
Stuffed Peeper soup
brown meat in the bottom of a large stock pot till no longer pink drain most of the oil off if needed add onion and peppers and saute till soft, lightly pepper and Add rice Stir well add 3 cups of water and add canned tomatoes .Bring to a boil stirring often .Cover and turn off and remove from heat for 10 minutes.While this is steaming, boil approximately 3 to 5 cups of water and then turn back on and add tomato sauce ,and crushed tomatoes.and enough of the boiling hot water to make soup consistency. Serve with shredded cheese on top
Cabbage roll soup
brown meat in the bottom of a large stock pot till no longer pink drain most of the oil off if needed add onion and saute till soft.Add the shredded cabbage and enough water to cover the cabbageand add 1 bay leaf .Bring to a boil.Cook 20 minutes and add canned tomatoes ,1/4 tsp black pepper and rice and 2 cups of water .Bring back to a boil stirring constantly .Turn off and remove from heat and cover for 10 minutes .meanwhile bring 3 to 5 cups of water to a boil.Once rice is "cooked" add crushed tomatoes and the sauce and enough water to make the consistency you like.Top with cheese when you serve
