January 2019 Gastric Bypass

HI everyone! My name is Crystal. I am 34 years old and having gastric bypass on Monday, 1/7/19. I am very nervous and hope I am making the best decision. I have been overweight my entire life and I want to be around for my daughter and give her a sibling one day. I am 5'4 and 255lbs, most of my weight in my stomach. Anyone having surgery this month or want to share any advice or tips, it would be helpful and appreciated.

Hi Crystal. I am new to the group. I am 50 and I had gastric bypass on 10/24/2018 so just about at 3 months. It was the best decision I ever made. I carry most of my weight in my stomach too. I was 350lbs when I went to see the surgeon. Today I weighed in at 291! I have not been in the 200's in years. You are going to gain so much energy you will give that baby girl a run for her money!! Hope you recovery is going well. I wish you great success!
