I have a problem with maintaining 1500 calories daily. How do one stay within on a daily basis when eating healthier foods?

Eating lots of fruit and veggies, raw nuts, legumes and lean protein....and my sodium level has to be lower than 1500 mg a day so I had to cut out packaged foods. It has only been a few weeks. Eating out, I'm not sure how to manage that yet. The first few days were tough but felt good to get a lot of junk out of my system.0
