Thanks Chris. I was in court all day yesterday and worked until almost 7. And today I was playing catchup.

Funny you should choose this workout. It has some of the same ones I started on Monday. Though the one I am doing has lots of legs also. Love it!

Recumbent 30 minutes 6.6 miles. Found 5lb kettle bells at Dollar General. Bought them as I think my nephew borrowed the ones I had.

Chris - the challenge is speaking to means my flabby arms and bat wings. I will start today.

Kathy love seeing you working out so hard! Keep doing it.

Chris you are doing great. I bet your trainer wishes all her clients were as dedicated as you!

I have been lifting heavy this week, again. I am sore almost daily. It is paying off though. I am really glad I have you all sticking it out with me!

Kathy I promise they will get easier. Those middle ones are harder for me too. The bent over lateral raises I always have to lower my weights to do. Cool proud to do them no matter what weight you start with.

I will be doing them tomorrow. Night everyone!

    You guys are awesome!

Walked w/DH this morning for 2 miles in 48 mins. <--that must improve by summer...EGADS!!!!!

Worked out w/DDD and our trainer at our house today!!! So fun! Well, DDD is having a right leg, back of the thigh issue, and I am having a right leg calf issue (neither of us knows where these issues came from) or trainer had us doing an upper body workout. DDD is off next Monday, too, so we'll do it all again!! FUN!!!

Wow your trainer came to your home. I thought that only happens to superstars. Are either of you holding out on us? Great job and get well.

I worked out yesterday for 45 minutes with weights. Tomorrow will be hitting it again.

Shelley, our trainer came to our house a lot last summer. Ronan was much smaller and needed all of us...our trainer included...to watch him. And she teaches at the gym just down the street from our house. It's really easy for her to just stop here. She has much more equipment at her house tho.

    Gotta go...

Chris, she sounds awesome! So convenient also.

Did my workout this morning. Bench press is 80 pounds, 3 sets of 12 reps. And my flys are up to 20. Flys are hard with my shoulder. While it is mostly healed it still gives me trouble. I have a Ice-cream social tonight to go to. I am hosting it actually. Would rather be going to sleep early. To many late nights the last week. :o

Talking to a co-worker about the gym he trains at. I may sign up for weight classes - need someone/something (like not wanting the class fee to go to waste) in order to make me accountable.

Paula that is a great idea. I miss my classes.

I did some mall walking this weekend. Weight lifting this morning. And tomorrow is weights with Angie at the gym.

I contacted the gym owner - will see what I can afford, but just getting back in the groove will be worth it. Wish you all lived closer.

I've initiated conversation with a local gym to get me kick-started using dumbbell and body weights again, but my usual workout is walking. Here is a typical month.

Walking group at work Tuesday, sometimes down to the Pacific Ocean - we sometimes take advantage of being a few blocks from a place people dream of visiting. But usually we do a mile (4 laps) around a local cemetery that's old historic and kind of dramatically dismal and on a hill with a gorgeous view and a good cardio workout.

Then Evelyn and I manage to squeeze in something Friday too. One Friday we went for an hour; another we got drenched and last week we did stairs at Carter Park. If we can't go distance we like to do altitude.

And I squeeze in walking to the Sheriff's Office, the bank, etc, about 20 minutes each time. I like to walk...

And every other week or so I'll do one-two hours around my home, which is to say hiking hills.

And last night I went dancing with friends. Hopefully it burned off some to the alcohol calories because I think the bartender gave me a double "by mistake" - I would've tipped her the same either way.

I have to step up my walking game, too, Kathy and Paula! My ankle seems much, much better. We did not walk this weekend and that might have been a good thing. hmmm...schedule so tight. I'm working on it.

Worked out w/our trainer this afternoon then got on the bike for 15.02 miles in 72 mins. The bike had me at 476 cals. I'll take it since out exercise screen wanted to give me over 700 cals. Wow!

Chris, You have a legitimate reason to not walk with that ankle. Is recumbent bicycle better for you?

Kathy, When does your tennis start? Are you going to play again this year?

    Recumbent bike - 60 minutes - 14.21 miles.

Paula - tennis drills and practice starts March 5th. The season starts March 17th.

Paula, my ankle is much, much better. It's not totally cured but on it's way. Don't want to get too excited and start walking too far. Then I'll be grounded again.

I can ride the recumbent with no problems, I think. I had an issue last night but I don't think it was the bike. I'll ride this evening and see what happens.

Glad you play tennis, Kathy. Fun times!

Won't see our trainer until Friday. She doesn't want me doing anything right after the back shot. :p
