That's really interesting Austin. I don't always get delivery, but if I'm having an extra busy week or I just plain out don't feel like going, I'll order online. My usual grocery store has delivery within 2 hours. I generally do that more often when I need lots of household goods and pet supplies as I tend to want to see my produce when I'm buying it. I did have one of those market subscriptions once, where you get a box of produce and sometimes other things every week from a local grower. It was fun, but you really have to be prepared to cook regularly to use the stuff up and I gave it up after a few years.

Hi Everyone... been a long week for me at work and a quiet week in the ETL group! I am going to be working all weekend, and my food choices are still not always optimal, but I decided I'm just going back to my super simple way of life where it comes to ETL. Smoothie or oatmeal for breakfast, big ol' salad and fruit for lunch, and a big serving of steamed or sauteed greens or veggies with some beans at dinner with another fruit for dessert. I keep trying to plan ahead and figure I'll have time to cook, but my work is consuming me and it's just not working out that way. Tired of wasting groceries. I can and will come up with the time and energy to make sure salads are ready to go and it only takes a few minutes to steam or saute some veggies for dinner and heat up a can of beans.

How is everyone else doing? Any big plans for the weekend?

I forgot to mention last night, I finally got Dr. Greger's How Not to Die last week and have been reading some every night. It's a bit overwhelming, a LOT of info in there, but it's not overly technical and dry.

    Hi @Mihani !
I love your super simple mode. That's where I live a lot, and then add in special items when I have time. One of my shortcuts for the beans and greens meal is to have bags of frozen greens on hand. I pour the frozen greens in a casserole dish, spoon my beans on top, cover, microwave the entire thing, and add raw onions and Mrs. Dash, Bragg's aminos, brown mustard, etc.

How Not to Die looks great! I listen to his podcast periodically and like it a lot.

My ETL plan for today is simple.
    - Food planning for the week. I usually do this on Sunday, but it was a crazy weekend.
    - Spinach/blueberry/flax seed/cold brew/cashew milk smoothie (check)
    - Big salad with almond butter/balsamic/nutritional yeast dressing
    - Steamed greens and beans, fruit for dessert; will cook up a fancier vegetable dish if I have time

@Carla_wfpb - How was your week? Your menu for last week had me go looking at mushroom recipes. I added this one to my list of things to try:

Hi Austin! That recipe looks sooo good. I do keep a lot of frozen veggies and greens around and should start using some of them up. I add a bag of greens to soups a lot even if the recipe doesn't call for it. Always looking to add more greens!

Carla started the March thread so pop on over. :)
