Here's a good list of free videos that explain some basic movements.

It is by Pilatesanytime.com of which I am a subscriber. I am not affiliated with it in anyway so this is not a PR move! As I became more experienced and my work (I run a consulting firm) became too busy for regular classes at the studio, I checked out and finally subscribed to Pilatesanytime.com. The owner of my studio also joined their contest at one time, so it is a reputable site with an excellent range of instuctors from different schools.
I only go for Level 2/3 or Level 3 on there, so not sure about the quality of level 1 (lots there) videos.
Of course their youtube channel is a teaser - it has quite a few freebies but the real site has tonnes!
Enjoy.
