Plateau?

I am on week 4 of insanity. So far, I have lost 2 lbs. I feel like generally people lose more than that in 1 month! I am a little bit bummed out and discouraged. I definitely know I am stronger, and I will be taking day 30 measurements on Sunday, so perhaps that will encourage me and highlight the progress I have made so far. I am still a little annoyed. What were your results like in month 1 of Insanity? Obviously, someone who has a lot of weight to lose will lose it quicker, whereas I have about 10 lbs to lose at this point. Still, frustrating. I am eating under the calorie suggestion that I got when I did the equation on the nutrition guide. But, I feel like I am eating a lot, and sometimes even have to eat when I am not super hungry to get to that calorie goal.
Is there anything I should be doing differently? Thanks in advance!

Hi Amina. I have heard many people say the same thing about month 1. Some gain a pound or two and some will lose only a few pounds but they all lose inches. I have not tried Insanity yet but I hope to after Power 90 and P90X.
It always seem the last 10 to 20 pounds is the hardest to lose. I lose over 50 pounds in 90 days and now it seems like it is taking forever to lose my last 10 pounds. I am still working on my daily caloric intake. It is important to change your daily intake as you lose weight.
Some people tend to burn more calories each day then others. I would not get worried yet since month 2 is where you will notice the most changes if you eat healthy and give it your best. If you are still having troubles losing in month 2 then I would focus on finding out your true daily caloric needs. Ryan helped me with mine and its working. I was at a plateau for over a month.0 -
Hello Amina,
I would not get discouraged. Changes will come. Month 2 is where the greatest changes take place. If you eat healthy and do your best each day you will have awesome changes especially in month 2. The workouts not only become longer but they become more difficult. It will seem like you started Insanity all over again and are on day 1. Keep it up. You are doing fantastic. I look forward to hearing your results.0 -
Don't focus on weight. I didn't lose any weight over the entire 2 month run, but I lost 4" off my waist and 4 percentage points of body fat. Your measurements, progress pictures and fit test results are going to give you better indiciations of your results than the scale will.0
