Hello all,I'm at week 11 and hurt my lower back and days later I ache in the groin area. I know what contributed to it and it wasn't 1 thing it was several.. let me erase one cause and that is warm ups which I did and do very seriously. But my attention to warm ups is only one part of it all. Guess where I failed at. No guess is wrong I just know now in reflection which ones it was.

It was something I took for granted and it bit me good. I wasn't hydrated first effect I cramped up. Next I was on third set 3 rep when it happened.. next mistake I did one more rep..wrote in my log was stopping..stretched and decided to do fourth set... wrong.move. and yes now my form was crap..and that's all she wrote.. I was thinking NO excuses!.. did I ever take determination too far!... don't be a lunkhead like me and fail this way...So yes it was POOR form that did me in by simply not drinking water pre workout.

Hope you recover quick. I had sharp pain in my back a few weeks ago. Tried to push it one more set. Got 2 reps. No lifty for a week after that. Even then I scaled back a little moving forward.

Listen to your body folks. Certain pains are not normal.

No doubt I wish I took the discomfort seriously better safe safe safe than sore and sorry. I'm off now counting 2 missed rounds. Can't even do my single person canoeing for upper body/midsection workout/enjoyment.:(

Thanks for the words of advice. I work out first thing in the morning and probably need to drink more water first.
Thanks again, I hope you have a speedy recovery.

I found when doing the exercises that I go through about 2 1/2 litres of water.
