Hey!
My past routine has been cardio in the mornings (usually a lot of dancing, Zumba stuff), a half hour to hour walk for my lunch break during the weekdays, and that's it.
I sit pretty much all day- drive to work, work in an office, drive home and college classes.

When I study abroad in Japan, I want to try out for Sasuke (Ninja Warrior). They take anyone regardless of nationality or age, it looks fun (as long as you can laugh at yourself), a little silly, and totally inspiring.

Starting today, I want to start working towards being fit and ready for Sasuke.
It seems quiet here in the forum, so I thought I would just start writing here as some kind of accountability.

Did my usual Zumba, ended with punching bag time, and then four sets of curls, presses and squats- nothing fancy. Did 25 crunches, but I just read somewhere these aren't good for you???

Did 30 seconds of holding a regular plank (haven't really done planks), and could only hold 2 sets of 15 seconds of low planks (on my elbows) with good form.

Some members of the community suggest push ups, and throughout the day, I'll do four sets of 25 pushups.

Today, rather than taking a walk, I'll start jogging the usual route and stop by the local playground. I can't even do one pull-up yet, but I'll spend 15 minutes at the monkey bars and see how far and long I can hold myself up.

This is a very far cry from Ninja Warrior, but the first determined step for me.
I don't know if any of you are still out there, but if you are, I would welcome any advice towards working towards this goal.

Good luck guys, and I'll be posting here again next week. See ya!
