Oh gosh, guess who forgot to update yesterday? But I'm not sure anyone cared because there were only 3 new posts.

@clepant - sorry to hear your dad is failing. I know it is hard, but take comfort in knowing you have had these days with him, and that he has had them with you.

@cpanus and @sufferlandrian and anyone else under the weather, hope you feel better soon.

@lovemyalex - love the new profile picture.

I had a wonderful morning at church, followed by a run, and soon I will have a yummy Easter dinner cooked by my husband. I'm at 59/75.

    18th: 8 miles, 3.76 m running, 4.24 m purposeful walking - MTD 106.61
    19th: 7 miles- MTD 113.61
    20th: 6 miles, 1.77 m running, 4.33 m purposeful walking - MTD 119.61
    21st: 10.66 miles, 8.66 m running, 2 m purposeful walking - MTD 130.27

@clepsnt - it’s wonderful that you and your father have a source of strengths this time. I know you’ll be taking comfort from the fact that you have him close at this time.
@Lovemyalex - the profile picture shows one very happy grandma <3

My first long run since I was under the weather .... need to put a wriggle on, my half is in 5 weeks. My DH asked what I was training for. I ‘innocently’ said a 13 miler - who’d have thought - he knows what a Half is!! He jokingly reminded me that when I started this running lark, I had said that I was unlikely to go further that 5k. Which somehow became 5 miles, then 10k ..... and where did the 10 miles come from :p:p

@k80flec - This makes perfect sense to me. The 10 miles came from the same place that had me "accidentally" sign up for the Berlin marathon in September. It's a mystery.

3 mile run this morning puts me a 62/75. Just a half marathon left. Easy peasy.

@JTH11706 - OOPS, sorry about that again, Janet! I was a little distracted because I was off buying another toy and my mind was very much elsewhere. I used Dean's formula for how many bikes one can own....what was it B=D-1?? Only in this scenario, B for bikes means motorcycles.

Hope you all had a good weekend and Easter if you observe it. :flowerforyou:

Last posted so long ago I had to look at the spreadsheet to find how far I had gone so far. Finally back on the bike. Still have a good cough but it felt good to go small chain ring (SCR) in HR zone 1 for a recovery ride. Just a little sweat but still a nice easy ride.

@Dave - The formula is N = N+1 where N is the number of bikes you should own. However, remember it can't exceed D-1 were D is the number of bikes that leads to divorce. So what did you buy? I hope it wasn't a Harley. There's a reason Harley riders carry wrenches in their pockets.

Adding 8 miles for 233 out of 250.

@dave - the person who forgot to update was me! It completely slipped my mind on Saturday.

@dean - glad you are feeling better! Welcome back.

Anyway, I felt really good on my run this morning. But just after mile two I saw a yellow labrador wandering down the main street without a care in the world. I grabbed him and got him out of the street but he had no phone number on his collar. I didn't recognize him so I took him to a local shop where fortunately they did recognize him. When his owner arrived this happy go lucky fellow followed him home as if nothing had happened. I sure hope he doesn't get loose again because he doesn't seem to have any idea what a car is.

@DEAN - I was close on the formula. I remembered the D-1 part anyway. ;-) That’s no longer an issue for Harley riders needing to carry tools when they ride :) ...at least ones built in the last 20 years. I owned a 2008 model which I traded in on a new 2016 model and all either one ever needed was tires and oil changes. They don’t leak oil anymore either. Anyway, yes the new one is another like-new 2016 model Harley Fatboy with only 15K miles on it so it’s barely broken in. It’s a real beauty with custom paint and lots of upgrades. It belonged to one of my good friends at the dealership so I know it’s been well taken care of.

And yes, the irony of it being called a Fatboy isn’t lost on me...

Sorry I've been missing in action. I will have to go back & do some catching up. My life has been CRAZY busy. I had my 60th b-day (that my husband forgot all about), took our oldest grandson to his state BB gun competition (that was a 8 hour drive one way), took my husband to his pre surgery knee appointment (4.5 hours away) to be told he'll have to wait cuz his thyroid is extremely low. Also we got our 4th grandson! I have been holding up ok but had to do another iron infusion. Still holding double classes 3 times a week & since posting I have managed to get in 44 miles. Easter Sunday was spent doing house & yard work!

@Dave - That is one beautiful bike! Well done. I used ride a Triumph Trophy 900 until I took it off a cliff. I would get another motorbike but I'm spending too much on bicycles. Just bought another one.
