If you finish a "wk" early in the wk, what do you do?

Do you do multiple wks in a real wk or do you do just 1 a wk? I finished wk 1 today. On my next run, I may start off testing wk 2 and if it's too much, I will just end the workout doing wk 1 again. Or, this wk, I may just keep trying wk 2 until I've mastered it. What do you do when you finish a wk?

I didn't move ahead of the program. I stuck with 3x a week to give my body time to adjust and myself time to adapt.
Pushing yourself too hard and too fast may lead to injury.

When I started the program I skipped a day between each run. Once I finished a week then I moved on to the next one. So if I did Wk1D3 on Thursday then on Saturday I rolled onto Wk2D1. Or if you struggled with the runs you could do Day 1 again until the next week starts. It's important that you get adequate rest and your body has a chance to recover but if your not feeling overly tired it ok to move ahead.

I really struggle if I don't do a rest day in between. When I finish a week I skip a day and then start on the next week. My legs just can't make it yet if I go at it every day.

I have two toddlers, so I did my runs when I could do them, not on a set schedule. I would do two days in a row but not three. The one time I had to do three in a row, the last run was not very good. I think you get the most gains in running when you alternate intense focus with profound rest. So, I did an 8 mile run on Tuesday, Wednesday I did some Pilates, stretched and used a foam roller, today I did 2-minute track intervals, tomorrow I will do some light weight training. Saturday I have a 5k and Sunday I will do nothing but light stretching.
