We meet here to explore, share, celebrate and (sometimes) agonize over how we do (or don't) incorporate weight loss guidelines into our daily lives. "It's a lifestyle, not a diet" is easily and often said, but sometimes not so simply put into practice.

This is a thread for everyone. If you're new to GoaD, or to weight loss, your questions and comments are always welcome. If you're maintaining, or a long-term loser, your thoughts on the topic may be just what someone else needs to hear. If you're reading this, join in the discussion!

Each weekday, a new topic is offered up for discussion. Thread starters for April are below:

Monday - imastar2 (Derrick)
Tuesday - whathapnd (Emmie)
Wednesday - minimyzeme (Kim)
Thursday - misterhub (Greg)
Friday- jimb376mfp (Jim)

Today's topic: So it's Monday AGAIN!!!🤯 Do you look forward to Mondays? Is it a day for a new week of new beginnings? Or is it a new day of the same-o-same boredom ho hum sort of day.

So the question becomes does Monday effect you or your Lifestyle dealing with food.? Either for the day or for the week? Perhaps another day may be substituted and that day may be your Monday.

Sorry for delayed start everyone afterall it is Monday and there's plenty of frustration going on in my life this Monday morning.

I must say I just deal with Mondays. Most Mondays are sort of ho hum with the routine moving right along but boy sometimes they just are as frustrating as all get out and this one of those Mondays. I wish not to let this day totally take over my attitude. Most of it's personal unrelated to mine or DW's doing. It's really a carry over from the weekend we both must deal with and it's one of those days that you say misery loves company.

However whatever life throws at you whether it's Monday or Thursday or whatever day it is as a dieter you just got to suck it up and stick to the plan. Afterall why jump off the rails just because things may not be going as planned. It's all about sticking with the game plan right? Well that's exactly what I'm planning on doing with this Monday.

I will say that most Mondays are the start nutritionally to a new week just because it's Monday. Gonna make the best of this day no matter what. Hope everyone is having a great Monday.😀👍

Now that I’m retired every day is Saturday.

When working I felt sort of relived to reach Monday because of the structure.

I dislike Mondays because I'm reminded that I still must work for a living. I can't just ride my bike or hike all of the time.

Monday is the day DH goes back to work and my volunteer commitments kick in again. In winter it gets to be a bit of a burden, but now we're winding down for the summer and I'm back in the groove.

Re. my 'diet', it's much more 'exciting' now that my WI is Tues. A restart is coming if I need it. I usually don't. This week, post vacation and exhausted, I do!

Tightening up the reins day, after the 3 day "weekend" (Friday weigh-in).

I'm with Al on this one. I purposefully plan a less-restricted weekend, and so Monday is the day that I go back to a more restricted eating plan.

At work, too, I tend to be more efficient on Mondays. I think I have more energy after the weekend rest and I'm better able to tackle those tasks that I've been loathe to tackle.

Another "not working" here guy here too. Still my life (european calendars too) goes from Monday thru Sunday whether I work, go to school, or not. My weigh in day now is Sunday by coincidence too. It doesn't really affect my choices that much although I don't generally try and salt load a bunch toward the end of the week.
