@themedalist , @77tes and @MadisonMolly2017 . Thank you all so much! Once again, i’m humbled and thankful for your well wishes and prayers. My headache is stubbornly hanging on, but I’m really hoping the neurologist has some insight tomorrow!

I’m not getting much activity. I get lightheaded easily from double vision. But I’m being honest in my food journaling, good or bad, and that’s my goal this month. I’ll probably carry it through to June again since I’ve not done so well these last two months. :# June is going to be better! 😎

@MadisonMolly2017 The profile pic is me and my youngest granddaughter, Hailey. She’s my little cuddle bug! 💕

    May Challenge: Food Journaling:

5/13: :) Made good mindful choices also.
5/14: :) Journaled every bite. Made a few not so great choices but my goal is to journal every bite and I did.
    5/15:
5/16: :naughty: Journaled up until dinner. Not sure why I didn't finish. (Same with next two days.)
    5/17: :naughty:
    5/18: :naughty:
5/19:  Even managed to munch on 1 lb of raw veggies yesterday. Veggies are hard for me.
5/20: :# Only up until supper (Not sure why I didn't log any supper.)
5/21: :# Only up until supper (Not sure why I didn't log any supper.)

    5/25: :naughty: vision issues/headache
    5/26: :naughty: vision issues/headache
5/27:  Back to work and back on routine Yea!
    5/28:
    5/29:
    5/30:
5/31:  I'm guessing I will stick to it tonight to finish out the month. No reason I wouldn't.

It sure feels good to be back in a routine! I saw the neurologist and he thinks I had a mini stroke to ocular nerve also but won't say for sure until I have the MRI next week. The good news is, those totally reverse themselves within 3 to 6 months and I should be fine. Whoop Whoop!

How is everyone doing? Ready for the weekend? I know I am! It's my husband's 65th birthday on Sunday, so I need to get his cake ordered and pick him up a gift. He is officially retirement age, although he has been on disability for 4 years already. This is the first time I've ever wished I was as old as him! LOL! Oh to be retired...*sigh*

    Have a great weekend everyone!

Great job @MadisonMolly2017! I wasn’t too successful with my May goal and that’s OK. Not every habit is going to stick and be a good fit for us. Onward to June!

May has gone ... already?!? I did OK with my goal. There were rainy days and one day that I totally forgot to go outside, there were a few days when I just didn't make myself go out. I can tell the difference on those days in my energy level. There's something about being out in the fresh air and moving that energizes me and lifts my mood. But I've enjoyed every minute I spent outside appreciating my life and will continue to push myself out on the days I don't feel like it.

Congrats to all of you who tried and had a good month or not such a great month but hung in there anyway.

And @PackerFanInGB I am so happy you have some answers, and will be recovering one day at a time. Take care, friend. Rest up and get well soon!

@PackerFanInGB, I was reading May's posts last evening and today. I also have little to add to the beautiful words of wisdom and love that have been written to you. Being a care giver along with all involved family member(s) supporter, is super stressful and difficult. I've been there, and done that, as 'they' say, so I truly understand. And with all the persons involved in your circumstances you so very much need to allow yourself much grace and compassion, because you are giving so much of it away every day. Yes, you do need to fill your "oxygen mask" with some first 💐.

What a lovely Mother's Day tradition of going together to the greenhouse, and purchasing and planting flowers in your yard, that you husband gives to you. That touched me so much to read that. Awwwwww.....🦋🌺🌹

I am so sorry to read about the medical issues that you have been going through. Oh, my. For me, personally, anything concerning the brain or eyes is frightening. I will be praying for you and for extra wisdom for your doctors. I can not imagine working on a computer all day with your symptoms. {{HUGS 💖}} . That is a good report that you had that a mini stroke to the ocular nerve will totally reverse themselves within 3 to 6 months. What a blessing to receive that information.

    Blessings and hugs,

Earlier in May our old desktop computer died :'( . That is why I have not been here. I have difficulty using MFP on my iPad so sometimes I read, but posting is difficult. I also don't want to add in another app on the iPad because of space, so I use the browser. Besides that, Using the keyboard, and the larger screen on the desktop is so much easier for me and my eyes 👀 .
Anyway, Now I'm learning my way around Windows 10 and starting to put our data and programs back on it. I'll need to re-download all programs that I used such as OverDrive from my library and drivers for the printer, and so on, and on. So much to remember to do, but it good brain exercise :p . But it is really nice having a faster computer, especially since my super techno experienced son helped us to find one that works really great.

Around the same time I injured my tailbone area and toward my left hip pretty hard, so I had to scale way back on the intensity of my exercise and activity. I was grateful that I had recently finished the clearing and the mulching in the garden as I couldn't do nearly what I was doing before. But I knew that I needed to stay as mobile as possible since there was no fracture, just pain and inflammation. Sitting for any length of time has not been an option. So I've been seriously putting into practice everything that I learned about 'Moving More and Sitting Less' :D .

Thankfully I am doing much better now and starting to get back to normal, but not as fast as I would like. It takes longer to get back to "normal" since becoming a lady of a "certain age" or at least getting closer to whatever that age is 😲 😉.

I did fair to middling this month in getting to sleep earlier for a while. Then not at all, truth be told.

So I'm rolling it over again, for June. And I'm going to add in eating either a salad or having a smoothie, or juicing on most days in June also. I've been rethinking my food choices again. I've been maintaining for a good while now, but need to step it back up again by making additional better food choices, and more often. Not just what I don't eat. I used to be much better with that sort of thing. However, I've been eating more easier to make or frozen foods unless I'm eating with my husband. But his work hours are so varied that I make his meals much later and separately much of the time. And I make him great salads! I've gotten out of my habit of making one for myself like I used to do pretty often back when.

What's got me thinking about this is that I have been having some very painful muscle cramps at night and at random times, especially when sitting down. This is not something entirely new for me, just more often recently. These are not the calf muscle 'charlie horses' that are more common. These ones are in muscles in my upper legs/ thigh area. They are very difficult ones to stretch out for relief when they are occurring, and I can hardly walk to get to the kitchen to get to the old wives remedy that a dear friend who has them also told me about.
I've been thinking that I probably need to increase my healthy nutritional intake as well as add back in some supplements. I rebel at taking supplements. Such a struggle to want to, and then to actually remember to take them, even though I have good intentions and do purchase them 😝. I've been researching and can't come to a clear cause for the cramps, so increasing nutritional support can't hurt.

I really enjoyed reading all the posts and comments for this month. I just can't possibly respond to them all.

@texasgardnr I’m sorry you’ve had an injury. It doesn’t seem to have slowed you down though🙂. I wish you a speedy recovery. And I hope you can get the leg cramps under control soon. I can relate to technology woes. My old faithful printer has gotten super temperamental since getting Windows 10 about a year ago. I uninstalled it today thinking I could reinstall but now I’m stuck and can’t figure that out. My electronic engineer son suggested reading the manual. 😏 Ugh! Anyway, I’m glad you’re back up and running and can post here again. You’ve been missed!

@texasgardnr I am so sorry to hear you were hurt! Tailbone and hip area is no joke! Ouch! Did you crack or dislocate anything? I hope it is something that will heal quickly and unremarkably.

Have you tried using a heating pad or one of those rice bags that you heat in the microwave for your muscle cramps? I swear by the rice bags. I get Charlie horses, but also get muscle spasms in my upper legs and in my back and that is the only thing that settles them down for me. Usually when I get them, I look back and can see that I didn't drink enough water that day. They certainly are painful and I'm so sorry to hear you are getting them!

Thank you for your post to me above. It has been a trying couple of months. Seems like it's always something, doesn't it? But that is life and I have to learn to deal with it better. I've never been one to think about things practically though...I always think with my heart and emotions. It's very draining...I need to work on that!

I go for the brain MRI tomorrow morning and then I should get some confirmed answers when the doctor gets back to me with those results. I'm looking forward to putting this whole ordeal behind me!

Have a wonderful day and I'm so happy to see you on here! I don't like to post on MFP using my tablet either. I always lose my stuff before I can post it! UGH. Frustrating.
