May you have auspiciousness and causes of success
May you have the confidence to always do your best
May it take no effort in you being generous
Sharing what you can, nothing more, nothing less
May you know the meaning of the word happiness
May you always lead from the beating in your chest
May you be treated like an esteemed guest
May you get to rest
May you catch your breath
Spring is sprung
The grass is riz
I wonder where
The flowers is?
Anyone have May goals to smash? Post 'em up!!

This is my first Harley... a 2006 Road King which I purchased in 2009 from a local dealership. It's run flawlessly since I got it. No need to see a mechanic other than oil changes & tires.0 -

Yeah, I like the Road King, and Harleys in general. Just couldn’t resist the easy ground ball.

Just back from a river trip, and May will be planning for the next one!

A recurring highlight of my Mays is my breast cancer survivors rowing team getting to row with young women from the major university's varsity rowing team that sponsors us. Usually, it's our last row of the academic year (we meet from September through May), and happens shortly before their conference championships (when they can use a light moment of just rowing for pure fun). This year, it happened this past Tuesday, and their championships are this weekend.
This is 3 rowing fours, each with two rowers from our team, two rowers from their team, and a cox from their team (sometimes a rower who's never coxed before, adding a bit more high spirits to the fun event). From our team, this outing, I think I'm the baby at age 63 (ages range to 73 in the group photographed); I'm the one in fluorescent orange (one of my "power boat please don't hit me" t-shirts from sculling small boats at the rowing club ).
These are amazing young women: High team GPA (and nearly universally so individually, not just in easy majors, either), many of them accomplished in other ways in addition to academics and athletics, plus friendly, kind people . . . knowing them is the perfect antidote to "kids these days" thinking. (I wouldn't normally post a photo of others here, but I think we're all far enough away to be effectively anonymized ).
