Has anyone else gotten on the scale before bed to see a surprisingly high number, then weighed themselves in the morning to see you've dropped 5 pounds overnight?

I told my husband this and his response was "did you take a [poop]?"
"No," I responded, "and if I had. NO ONE has a 5 pound [bowel movements]"

trick of nature or my scale has a poltergeist????

Not sure, I've had a few lbs differenec but usually that is before or after my period so i chock it up to water weight. I also try not to weigh myself during that time if I can help it.

This comes up more than you think. It's actually having to do with digestion while you rest. That and overnight you become slightly dehydrated. If you turn around, drink something and come back, you'll be a couple pounds higher. If you ever take the time to look in a mirror when you get up and use the restroom, you'll see that you look thinner in the morning. It's one of the reasons most people weigh themselves in the morning--it's a fresh start when you're the most empty and it sets the marker of how much you will burn with your activities for the day.

    Hope that helps!
