What is everyone's opinion on protein shakes after work outs? Is it helpful or ?
I cannot eat for about an hour after working out, as my body hates it (makes me sick and have stomach aches), so I've been drinking protein shakes afterwards to avoid getting fatigued and lethargic. However, I feel like these drinks are high in sugars, carbs and expensive... so i am debating discontinuing. Any thoughts?

They are only high in sugars, carbs, blah blah blah if that is what you are buying. The protein I'm currently using for my workout shake is 120 calories with only 3g carbs & 1g of sugar. It costs ~ $1 per serving. There are also some brands that are zero carb/sugar.
Read & compare labels; find something that "fits" what you are looking for.0
