Yes to all and YEs to winners circle as well:)
I
One pass this month5 -
Winners Circle - Not even close.
I always start the month with the best made plans. Heh! is that how that idiom goes?
(but I did track well enough to lose a few pounds. So I ain't totally out of line.)
Then I end up hitting the road out to where there is no cell or data service.
Week before Fathers Day I tried making it up to my altitude camp. Too much snow. I could kind of get my bicycle up there but I couldn't get my car up there. Biked up to 10,500. Decided not to mess with that again until some snow melts.
Diet usually works out camping. Even had a salad in the food box early on.
Found a 400 foot hill to do repeats on maybe day three or so. There were like a hundred or more high schoolers from a Lousiana church camping at the bottom of the hill I was repeating. Seemed like hundreds of little "pup" tents. I wish I had a picture of that. Track team was out trying their lungs out on that hill. They seen me go by a time or two. I suggested, "hill repeats anyone?" All I got in response was dirty looks. Coach looked maybe interested but her crew pretty obviously wasn't.
My Little Buddy and his family came up for the last two days. That was kind of a sweet time of staying up long after dark and roasting marshmallows. I didn't have but a couple marshmallows.
I wish I had a recording of Buddy's laughter.
I took a picture though.
I got a album somewhere. It is titled
"Little Buddy's and Granpa Bob's Saturday Morning Haunts"
It is captioned with -
On the right side of the picture kind of below that rock,
I put out a blanket for Buddy to sit on.
I took off his shoes and socks thinking he might want to test that water.
He got the edge of his foot touching that water and he rolled back from it
so I hefted him up the bank a foot or so.
He could still reach the water with his hand leaning from a crossed leg position.
He swished his hand around looking at the mud at the bottom of that clear water make
clouds.
There were minnows and water plants.
His laughter pealed across the calm quiet of that lake.
It was sublime.
