    Good evening team!!

Sorry I haven't been on much. I have been trying to get in a good amount of exercise and juggle life at the same time, but I'm here now and that's what matters!!

Update on me> I was trying the Keto diet but I couldn't seem to stay on it pass a week, so I decided not to keep going back and forth. I am now back to what worked for me before and that's just trying to eat healthy and watch my calorie intake. It didn't go so well for me today but I did much better than I have in the past. Even though I went over in calories I consider today somewhat of a success. Hope everyone is having a great summer!!

    14,273 steps June 26th.

Well, my oldest has chicken pox! She was vaccinated so apparently it is much milder than it would have been. She can’t go to school so she missed today and tomorrow, the end of the school year. She’s so disappointed. Luckily my mom came over to save the day and stay with her because I can’t miss the last day of school tomorrow!

I finally finished my 200km for the bike ride for kids’ cancer. I had an ankle Injury for half the month and it has just gotten worse so I have to figure out how to rest it.

Anyway tomorrow’s weigh in is not going to be pretty. Stress eating again - I’m not impressed with myself. Back on track tomorrow!

@megnolia82 Sorry to hear you've had all this going on. Stress is such an emotional trigger to overeat, I understand that completely. We just have to get back up and try again. You know what to do, and you will succeed!!
Chicken Pox!! Ugh I had them twice in my life. I was a baby and then at age 12 on the last day of school. The ankle> ice and rest might be your best bet.
Good steps considering you are walking around on an injured ankle. Got you logged! Have a great day and hope your daughter gets better quick.
    Congrats on the bike ride!!

WHAT WOULD YOU ALL LIKE TO SEE FOR OUR TEAM CHALLENGES... WE JUST NEED TO KEEP IT WITHIN THE REALMS OF OUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY.... LOOK AND THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX.... LET KIM @shockvalue07 AND I KNOW WHAT IT IS YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE FOR OUR TEAM CHALLENGES..... SOMETIMES I JUST GO BLANK...BRAIN DEAD..... A SENIOR MOMENTS OR 2 MORE OFTEN THAN NOT AND SO ON AND SO FORTH....

WE ALSO HAVE THE GROUP CHALLENGE THE FIRST WEEK OF JULY... THIS IS WHERE WE COME UP WITH A CHALLENGE AND PASS IT OUT TO THE ENTIRE GROUP... IF YOU HAVE IDEAS FOR THAT IT WOULD BE WELCOMED ALSO.

I AM REACHING OUT TO ALL OF THE NEW MEMBERS AND REMINDING THEM THAT SUNDAY THE JULY CHALLENGE STARTS... AND THAT WE AS A TEAM ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO A BE A PART OF THEIR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY....
WELL THAT ABOUT COVERS IT FOR THIS MORNING... HAVE A SUPER DAY TODAY

@Navydaddjtc I know how hard it is to think of different challenges for the group. I think it's a great idea to ask the team what they would like to see as a challenge.

I like to be a little competitive so I like the little mini challenges like the Game on Challenge.

@megnolia82 I hope your daughter gets well soon, chicken pox is no fun. Try to rest that ankle whenever you can and I hope it heals up soon.

@shockvalue07 I couldn’t stick to full Keto either, I enjoy having some of the off limit foods too much.

@runarml Good luck with your goals, you can do it!

To everyone who suggested recipes, thank you. I made butter nut squash noodles the next night in the skillet and they were much better than the zoodles had been. I’ll be adding in more of these things into my plan next month.

@Navydaddjtc - I'm intrigued by the 'Anderson Ranch' that you mentioned in one of your previous posts. Is it a big ranch? Sounds interesting.

As for challenges - the low carb ideas such zucchini spaghetti and zucchini lasagne, cauliflower rice sound like really interesting ideas. Could we do a challenge to share other great things like these? I often struggle with trying to find something straight forward to prepare - I did try to do butternut squash spaghetti (I don't have a spiralizer) and it didn't go down well. I can do cauliflower rice, but have yet to perfect cauliflower pizza.

Could we do something on this?

@NIKMAR.... MY FAMILY OWNS A CATTLE RANCH IN EASTERN WASHINGTON... THEY RAISE BLACK ANGUS BEEF AND YES IT IS CERTIFIED AND IT'S GRASS FED FOR VARIOUS RESTAURANT SUPPLY HOUSES...... IT IS ABOUT 10,000 ACRES GIVE OR TAKE A 1000 ACRES ... I USED TO DO A CATTLE DRIVE FROM ANOTHER FAMILY RANCH IN MONTANA TO EASTERN WASHINGTON GETTING THE BEEF TO THE STOCK YARDS FOR TRANSPORTATION BY RAIL... I RODE THE CHUCK WAGON AND WAS THE HELPER COOK WHEN I WAS A KID EARNING MY SUMMER MONEY.
NOW WHEN IT'S TIME MY COUSIN CALLS ME AND ASK FOR MY ORDER FOR MY PORTION OF THE PROFITS FROM THAT YEARS SALES... I GET A SIDE PLUS A QUARTER ABOUT 200-300 LBS OF BEEF CUT INTO VARIOUS CUTS IT'S FLASH FROZEN THEN PACKED IN DRY ICE AND IT'S UPS TO ME THE NEXT DAY.. MARCIE AND SPLIT IT UP AND THEN IT CONTINUES IT JOURNEY TO VIRGINIA FOR TC AND HIS FAMILY AND THEN OTHER PORTION GOES TO DJ IN CALIF. MARCIE AND I KEEP WHAT WE WANT AND CAN USE WITHOUT IT GETTING FREEZER BURNED. IT'S ALL VACUUM SEALED AND IS MOUTH WATERING YUM YUM YUM... SO YEAH THERE YOU HAVE IT... THE BENEFITS OF BEING THE COUSIN TO A CATTLE RANCHER

I LIKE THE IDEA OF RECIPES SHARING AND PICTURES OF PREPARED FOOD AS A CHALLENGE AND THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX WHEN DOING IT... KIM AND I WILL KEEP THAT IN MIND WHEN PLANNING FOR OUR WEEKLY TEAM CHALLENGES....

    THANKS FOR THE IDEA NIKKI

I didn't make it to the grocery store yesterday. I left work with a headaxhe and woke up with it this morning. One more day and our financial year is over. I can do this.

I think the recipe idea is great! I would love to share ideas and pictures as a team!

Perhaps, post a challenge of different ways to use a certain item like riced cauliflower, etc. It would be great to get ideas from each other.

I think self care is really important while we are making changes. I think it may be helpful as a team to discuss self help ideas while we are on our journey to take care of our whole self. How about something deeper. What is the one thing you did today that you felt you took care of yourself and others?
    Ideas:
    1) Meditated for ten minutes
    2) Read an inspirational story
    3) Wrote or thought of three things I am thankful for first thing in the morning
    4) Compliment five people
    5) Took a needed bath after a workout
    6) Took the time to cook to nourish my body
    7) Finished a book
