I need to conquer late night snacking

These homemade gummie bears have really helped me curb my late night snacking. They're sweet, a little chewy, surprisingly filling, 0 net carbs and only 30 calories if you ate the whole batch. I'm guessing they had a lot to do with my 4lb loss this week

    https://youtu.be/54XvhMMcwPk

Looks fab, what did you use in place of cool aid, or did you have that?

@digger61 - Wow! Fifty pounds down! 🎉 That is so impressive! 🎉 Feeling well and being healthier are such great rewards!

@TeresaW1020 - Brilliant, getting a loss even with the baby shower over the weekend!

@Jactop - Thanks for sharing about the Guiltless Gummies! They look like something my husband might like, so I may be making him a batch.
The inspiration is mutual. Your workouts always impress me!

@Barbonica - Wow! You took off like a rocket this week! So glad for you!

Weekly Challenge: I need to work on 3, 4, and 5 the most. I'm going to start intermittent fasting every other day. I've tried multiple days in a row before, and always ended up binging on sugar and junk food. I'm also going to wake up earlier and run on days I eat breakfast. Gonna focus on that for the next two weeks and go from there.

Tuesday check-in: Made the mistake of sitting down with the container of frozen yogurt last night and overrate. My head is back in the game today after a weekend of splurges. I plan to do some stretching and my strengthening exercises from physical therapy to strengthen my core, plus spend some time on the recumbent bike.

    Have a great day everyone!

    Introduction
I'm Marki, and I'm from Oklahoma. I work in higher education assessment after teaching higher ed ESL for 111.5 years. I'm new to Mission Slimpossibles and F2F this month. I came back to MFP last month after I stepped on the scale, and it read 341 pounds. That was my line in the sand. I said this far and no further. I decided then and there that I had to make a change. That was May 5.

Since then, I've made several changes: I eat at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables every day. I'm even trying new ones; I have fish at least once a week, which is up from MAYBE once a year; I have eliminated soda and replaced it with water, unsweetened tea, and Crystal Light; I have reduced starches down to the occasional breading on something or a small amount of pasta or rice.

For exercise, I'm pretty much limited to swimming because I have a degenerative joint disease, and I'm trying to hold off a hip replacement and a spinal fusion. Losing weight will help on both of those fronts.

Last month, I lost 13.4 pounds. I'm really looking forward to another successful month and hope to get to know you all better.

So inspiring! I love the changes you have made so far - two thumbs up!

Brilliant loss @Jactop ! You must be thrilled!

I am!!! My weight rarely budges regardless of what I eat or how much I exercise. I think it's a combo of avoiding some recently discovered allergens and a fondness for guiltess gummies

I am finding the same thing too! It can get kind of frustrating but I am starting to accept it as life right now. It would be nice to see even a little drop regularly but not so far. It gives me comfort that I know someone else in the same situation.

Feeling pretty great today. Rode my bike to work today, measured and tracked all my food, and stayed under my calorie limit. I ate slowly and tried to chew my more.

It is frustrating. Especially when you know you're putting in the effort. I've accepted that the number on the scale is beyond my control. I'm trying to focus on staying active and eating right in the hopes that eventually the effort will pay off and when it does I'll be so glad I didn't give up.

    Tracked: just carbs
    Calories and carbs: good
    Water: not great
    Exercise: 45 min walk
    Steps: 15

Plan for Wednesday: bake some low carb crackers and cookies. My supply is running low. Yikes.

    Tuesday Check-in
Calories: under (and all measured, tracked, on plan)
    Water: on target
Exercise: 25 min weight training + 66 min platform stepping

    Plan for Wednesday:
Early morning bit of walking; martial arts class in evening; make batch of Best Vegetable & Lentil Soup

@Jactop - Your "Yikes" made me giggle! I hope the baking is fun! And come to think of it, it is time for me to bake. I do a healthy digestive biscuit (made with seeds and oats) that I can eat and that my teenager likes a lot. Time to make those!

Congratulations, 20 pounds is some serious hard work! It sounds like you're physically doing a lot,you may be burning more than your steps. Have a great vacation!

Not much is going on. I ate under my calories and feel back on track after my weekend. I'm not going to weigh for a few days in the Hope's that the scale goes down from my eating out. Exercise plan for the day is lifting weights at the gym and elliptical with some time on the recumbent bike later on.
