Lol Chris! No wonder they looked familiar. I pull them before they bloom! I keep telling Rocky to leave a few for the butterflies. But he says hope. The creek across the avenue has a lot though. Do you get butterflies on yours?
We did breakfast this year for father's day. Also kept it really easy. And everyone was able to be home by a decent time. Rocky and I drove out to where he used to work. They just finished a new bridge build. The workers did a great job. It was great to see.
Tomorrow we are taking the oldest two to see a get in Douglas. Just routine stuff. Then I have a doctor's appointment. I pulled some muscari bulbs that were multiplying to freely. Have a great day and I have decided to keep mine for another year!

Greetings from Toronto! I have my staff meeting here this week for my team which I’m really excited about yesterday got to catch up yesterday with an old colleague who took me winetasting. We went to I think six vineyards and then Niagara on the lake area. So much fun! Posting a picture from our staff at Wayne Gretzky‘s winery. Really fun. I’m determined this week to stay on plan with eating. No shenanigans! Hope everybody has a great Monday.

Shelley - no butterflies or hummingbirds, yet. So windy it'll probably toss the little guys all over the place, but I'm hoping I see them soon.
Great picture, Karen. I hope you have a blast in Toronto!
Gearing up for tomorrow's surgery. Rereading everything...getting surprised about something I missed. I'll be okay. DH is watching over me and I should get a call from the surgery nurse today just to be sure I have everything I need. ...sigh...almost over.
No real plans for today. Reading and NOTHING!!!
143.6 at 7:00 when the gardeners got here with their lawn mower going right under our open window!!! I'm okay...just fine...
Chris1 -
Chris - Will be sending positive vibes your way for a successful surgery tomorrow!

Karen I love the spiral staircase in the background. Makes me want to run up them. And then to voice down all graceful like! Or skip, either way they look like fun! Beautiful smiles. I have 2 grape vines. Does that make a vineyard? I am pretty sure it does.
Chris wishing you a speedy recovery. And it doesn't matter if you read it or not. Something is always forgotten. I kind of liked going in with no preparations. No time to be nervous! How long are you expecting to have to stay? Keep us posted. Wishing you lots of luck. Hugs!
Half day at work tomorrow.
Shelley0 -
Love you guys! I'll let you know how it goes, that is if my phone cooperates.
Chris1 -
Shelley - That definitely counts as a vineyard!
After a long day of meetings went with my team to the CN Tower in Toronto and a Toronto Blue Jays game which was a lot of fun. Beautiful night! I’m still hanging in there with my eating. Doing pretty well.

Karen what is the fall building that reminds one of the space needle in Seattle? Love the reflection on the building! My daughter and son in law are big fans of baseball. They would have loved it there. Great job on your eating. I have no idea what your plate of food is. Sour cream, lettuce and beef? Oh and I will update you on my vineyard.
Chris how are you? I sure hope surgery went as expected. Sorry for your pain.
Worked half a day. It was good. We have baby robins on our patio. It has been interesting watching the parents flying in and caring for them. They are still really young. I worry about our pets hurting them when they leave the nest.
Flowers are looking beautiful. My hibiscus are getting tall. Not much in the way of hot days though. Very unusual weather here. I had a cat spider hatch her young on my clematis. They are about 5 days old. I hope they hang around for awhile. I think it will be a bad year for insects. The pest kind!
I can't wait to work out again.
Shelley0 -
Trying again. Surgery went great...don't remember anything. I hurt something awful today. Tomorrow's supposed to be better.
Chris1 -
Aw Chris!
Sadly I have an idea how you might be feeling. I hope you do feel a little better tomorrow. And take your meds! Talk with you later. Rest and more rest. Don't be caring for Ronan to soon.
Shelley0 -
Thanks, Shelley, hoping today goes a little better. Back later.
Chris0 -
Hi ya Chris!
I am at work. Behaving myself watching everyone else working. But at least I can free up someone else to help while I do computer entering and answering phones. Still healing up!
Shelley0 -
Chris - Keep resting and healing!
Karen1 -
Chris - I hope you’re feeling better and healing today. You as well Shelley! Please get the proper rest it will help with healing.
Take care ladies!1 -
Hope you are getting better Chris!
Shelley0 -
Thank you, everyone, for all your good wishes Home now. Recovery will be slow but sure. So glad to be home with everyone!
Chris1 -
Glad to hear you are home Chris. What is the prognosis? So glad recovery has started now!
Shelley0 -
You're doing great, Shelley! Good job!
Thank you, my friends, for all your kind words and thoughts.
Everyone at the hospital was so surprised at how much I was walking. They said that a lot of folks that had the same surgery didn't even want to move...which I understand COMPLETELY...but that's not me. Took a shower today!!!! After laying in a hospital bed for days and days, it was better than ice cream!! Oh, man! No hospital stink on this girl!
Love you guys!
Chris2 -
Got my daughter off to summer camp! Going to miss her, but I know she’s going to have an amazing summer :-)0
-
Chris I so understand the shower part. Hospital stench has got to go. Keep me posted on your improvement. I know you will hurt for sometime but I am hoping for a speedy recovery. Sending huge your way.
Karen she will have lots of fun.
I scrubbed my kitchen while dh was out rock hounding. Even washed the walls down. Then he made spaghetti. He is such a messy cook. Grrrrrr. My new fuchsia has tiny buds now. Can't wait to see them bloom. And my new baby fish is eating well. 3 months of quarantine and he can join the other fish.
Shelley0 -
Great news Chris. Nothing better than a shower and fresh gown after leaving the hospital.take care of yourself and keep us up to date.
Working on my house as well Shelley getting new wood floors eventually and new kitchen tile as well as having the kitchen painted. In the meantime cleaning and organizing...it’s great to have the time to get things done. My mom and I cleaned out the garage last week. My niece and I cleaned and organized the kitchen.
Karen I’m sure your daughter will have a great time and lots of fun.
Have a great week ladies!

Karen your daughter will have a blast!
Shelley...be careful, Missy. Don't get hurt. I hired someone to do all that stuff!! Did DH's spaghetti taste good? My milkweed is blooming, and Ronan and I planted a Wildflower Mixture Bird & Butterfly seeds in a pot. We can see little green leaves in the pot now!!
Kathy, I think you are going to enjoy retirement!!
When My back is working again, I want to clean out my side of the garage. A ton of baby stuff. Cabinets full of the unknown.Beer coolers that belong on the man-side...stuff.
140.6 this morning at 8:30. I'm doing okay. Pain gets really bad when I'm due for meds and it takes 40 mins for the meds to kick in. ugh! But each day gets better than the day before. Okay, no exercise but I do think about it...brain muscles...wonder if those count.
Bye for now.
Chris

Of course it counts Chris. Your brain is the most important part of you. Just hang in there. Soon you will be making those pain killers last longer. I love watching for little green leaves. I have some purple datura seeds to plant.
And yes the spaghetti was good. But how does he get it on two walls, the stove, counter down a cabinet and into the floor? My darling little pups are digging in my garden beds. Stinkers!
We coaxed the neighbors dogs back into their hard with some milk bones. One is a mastiff. Huge sums him up. I am glad they were friendly.
Kathy that all sounds so fun. I would love a makeover for the inside of my home. And that you can do some with your mom is awesome!
Shelley0 -
Well I am sitting here at work right now. Called the doctors office and Friday I can start doing full days. Need to get used to being here full time again. I sure have enjoyed the time off though. Got a little taste of what being retired will feel like. I would retire early but then I would wish I had more money......so I better stay on for 5 more years. It will go by quickly enough.
Going to plant some carnations I have sitting in pots. I finally feel up to it. Can't wait to get out in the sunshine.
Shelley0 -
Shelley, when you retire, we'll have to get together w/Kathy, and Karen if she has taken the retirement leap, and have lunch...with beer...and ice cream.
Right now exercise is the last thing on my mind...right now I want to take a nap.
Gotta go...
Chris1 -
Lol, Chris you go ahead and take several naps. Just get well. And no beer for me.
Shelley0 -
Happy Friday ladies! Well it is officially summer in Pennsylvania. We're sort of in our first Heatwave. Nice and a hot! And of course humid.
186.2 this morning. With all of the traveling I have done lately not too bad. I didn't get to exercise as much as I would have liked in Canada, but I think today is my fourth day this week so I'll hit 5 days with tomorrow.
We had an Employee Appreciation BBQ at work yesterday which was nice. They had relatively healthy food so that was good.
Well Bella is off to summer camp. We dropped her off on Sunday. It's a device free Camp which I think is great, so we get to speak to her tonight to see how she's doing. They do post pictures so we can see the activities that she's doing. She appears to be having a blast! It is so quiet without her here. She definitely feels up the house :-)
I plan on doing a bunch of cooking this weekend. Didn't get to do very much of it at all last weekend with summer camp. Hope everybody has a wonderful Friday!
Karen0 -
Karen nice job on the workouts! We are also finally having not weather. Have to get up early to work outside.
I love the idea of a device free camp. So much more fun that way.
Worked a full day today. Light duty still. Going to do some treadmill time tomorrow. And the baby robins left their best today. The neighbor was throwing rocks at one. I had a chat with him. And explained to him about how they just left their best and cannot get fly. And that their parents will be feeding them still. And asked him if he would help me watch them. He was much nicer after that.
