I am just 3 weeks in, I see a positive change and am enjoying learning how to adapt to this new lifestyle. But could really use some support. I am on this journey to improve my physical health, but have no support system. So any advice, recipes, tips, and tricks you can share would be greatly appreciated πŸ’™

Welcome. I'd recommend reading your way through some of the posts on here. Lot's of great information. As for advice? You do you. You are going to have naysayers and folks who think that they know better than you. They don't. The most important thing is what is right for you. You don't need to ever defend yourself or your chosen way of eating as it is a total personal choice.

A great place to start is with the 'stickies' threads at the top of the Low Carber Daily Forum intro page. Lots of great resources there with pointers and links to our fave books, you tube videos, podcasts on this Way Of Eating (WOE in shorthand ;) )
    And of course, Welcome!!

I come and go around here but you're welcome to friend me! I've been doing this for something like 4 years now with varied levels of dedication however it's really a life style for me. I don't do it as a diet, or to combat health issues. What's been really helpful for me over the years is to take stock of how I'm doing when I'm eating this way. Things like energy level, attitude, how my clothes fit, etc. Remembering there's no one size fits all, and that every body will respond differently allows you to find what works for you! And yes, read through the stickies and take the time to do a little research. You don't have to dedicate hours to researching but a little bit of knowledge helps when you find you need a support system.

Oh, and this forum is a good place to hang out too. ;)

Thank you so much! I’ve decided to make it a lifestyle and not a diet as well. I fail when I say diet. I don’t have any health concerns except I am considered morbidly obsese. My bp , cholesterol, sugars, are all really good. Just want to not look or feel like a blob anymore 😁
