Happy Belated July 4th Everyone!!
I exercised! I finally decided NOT exercising wasn’t making me better, so I’d try a nice 20 min walk. Took it easy as Dr requested until back from trip & they will attach a ZIO Patch to check in the PAC’s the paramedic saw last Monday. Have not had anymore fluttering, dizziness, etc. Drinking lots of water!
Ex: 25 minutes!!!!!! TY UAC!
Calories: 36 Under
Tracked all
We have been shocked by the sodium in restaurant food, so will homecook dinner every other night while on our vacation.
I plan to do a gentle 20 min walk each day. Felt so good!! ❤️9 -
@MadisonMolly2017 lovely to read you're doing well and taking it easy while still exercising. Enjoy the rest of your trip!3

Glad to finally be able to post. We have been in Panama visiting our daughter and son in law. So glad to be back in the country. We've had a brutal couple of days. We took a red eye Wednesday morning which meant no sleep. Add to that the horror of flying ect. and you have an absolutely terrible experience. We were scanned and patted down twice and put in a room without water or bathroom facilities at Panama before we could leave this at about 1am. If you go out of the room you will be searched again. Wasn't able to ascertain the calories in the food, ect...so I have been AWOL for the last week. I did exercise each day so that was a plus. Additionally we didn't have time to even get any food at the airport in Florida because of the border and changing terminals...Customs was a nightmare (slammed with so many people coming in at 8am )...much less being trapped in Panama. I logged a little over 800 calories that day. So I start this month with 2 pass days. We'll see if it gets better...

Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?
Got some good exercise. Upwards of 1400 cal worth of climb. But went to a party and didn't really track. I kind of knew that would happen.
Partying with people that are in pretty bad shape - healthwise.
Lifestyle induced health problems. I wish I had been a better example for them.
I am the oldest guy there. They call me Grandpa even though I ain't related. I wish I could say something to them about health without stimulating resentment.
But hey they all gave each other fitbits for Christmas. That's pretty good.
Couple of the youngsters are active in soccer and swim team.
I wish I was more of a body builder. I think I just look skinny to guys that grew up wanting nothing more than to be big. That is how I was and it didn't pan out when my activity level dropped to desk job level.
Hung out with Buddy for dimestore fireworks lit in the street. He enjoyed bigtime.8 -
@windowqueen2003, what a nightmare. Glad you're back safe and sound.1

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes, 2.4 mile walk to park and back for fireworks and power washed the patio, driveway and sidewalks.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes, I admit it wasn't healthy eating but I managed to stay under calories...
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes!
Am so excited that I managed to limit myself enough yesterday to not have to take a pass day! It sounds like most had a happy 4th of July. So scary to hear about California and @BonnieHosk85 I'm really sorry to hear about the police officer in Nashville. We just had a similar incident here where an officer died after being shot responding to someone trying to pass a bad check. He left a wife, son and daughter and it's just heart breaking!4 -

Thank you so much😊. Finally feeling like myself today. I suppose if you travel you have to take the grief..2 -

She ran a blinking red light and t-boned him and then he hit a pole. His car burst into flames. Only 28 years old with an 18-month-old son. So horribly sad. Also, heard the news about California. Hope all are okay there.

So sorry this seemed to hit close to home for you. Unfortunately, accidents happen all the time and a lot of the time police officers are involved. I am in awe of your empathy! Deaths due to accidents involving officers is 2nd only to gunfire. Which is typically double that amount. If it helps, know that this was in deed an accident. No matter the circumstances (suspended license etc). I can't speak for the family but (in time) it will help to know it wasn't intentional. So many of our officers are killed in the line of duty for "just doing their job". Thus the Blue Lives Matter was created. This is a sad situation for sure but perhaps a wake up call for Nashville. Send a card they should know you care. The world needs more people like you !
Stef.... wife of an officer with 28 years on (moments like this I am thankful and humbled)

As a daughter of the American Revolution thought I needed to add this ... some don't know
We celebrate American Independence Day on the Fourth of July every year. We think of July 4, 1776, as a day that represents the Declaration of Independence and the birth of the United States of America as an independent nation.
Today we celebrate the birth of a nation not who gave we have a day for that too. For one brief moment we US citizens are One ...free people. It helps to remember that as we move forward each year.5 -

I’m in Kansas City, MO and there is a famous group of Navy pilots that perform high speed and high altitude acrobatics.
Yesterday, I saw this group flying in preparation for their upcoming performance. They are called the Blue Angels
@RangerRickL Did you like the airshow? I am in the Kansas City area. Did you get some BBQ too? Hope you had a good time in KC!1 -
