We meet here to explore, share, celebrate and (sometimes) agonize over how we do (or don't) incorporate weight loss guidelines into our daily lives. "It's a lifestyle, not a diet" is easily and often said, but sometimes not so simply put into practice.
This is a thread for everyone. If you're new to GoaD, or to weight loss, your questions and comments are always welcome. If you're maintaining, or a long-term loser, your thoughts on the topic may be just what someone else needs to hear. If you're reading this, join in the discussion!
Each weekday, a new topic is offered up for discussion. Thread starters for June are below:

Today's Topic: Day after July 4th.
Now that's it's over how did you do yesterday on the 4th but equally important are you on track for the weekend.?

Well got up late ate a really late breakfast. DW had put some ribs on and we ate them about 4:30 so those were the only meals then had to go out and do some work. Did give myself a DQ Blizzard as a treat. Oh well what the heck but still went 2 lbs down from last Friday WI. Onward and Downward.0

My meal choices were good, my dessert choices not so much.
We also got in a really nice hike through Forest Park outside Portland Oregon. That was a victory for the two of us, since both of us felt “too tired” before getting out there. Turns out that it was an emotional exhaustion, somewhat akin to to the emotional hunger I sometimes feel. Once we actually got out and started walking down the path, my body was like “yay!“0 -
Was doing OK till we decided to split a small frozen berry pie while watching fireworks with a scoop of low fat ice cream. I will need to play it tight today. WPs are long gone. After 2 weeks of only tracking on paper without points I need to get used to doing the math beforehand. I had some sushi yesterday for a quick lunch. Turned out to be 15 points. Not the way to prepare for a 4th of July BBQ0
