He comes at it from a strength coaches perspective, but it is applicable across all disciplines. Effectively, all of your muscles, bones and joints form kinetic chains. If one part of your chain is weak or tight, it throws off the rest. He teaches practical analysis techniques that allow you to see where the weakness/tightness is and address it before it causes an injury. For example (probably a poor one, but it should give you the idea), if you have bad posture, your posterior chain could be shortened causing your feet to strike pronated when you run. Instead of buying stabilizing shoes, you can work on your posture and eventually posterior chain will correct itself and the pain will go away.
