Do you skip or miss meals and does that effect you during the day?

Skip a meal? Forget to eat? NEVER!!! When I have to fast for medical reasons, I get too hungry, cranky, and often have a headache.

I don't generally skip meals. That said, I try to only eat when I am hungry - not when the clock says it's time to eat. I am not diabetic, so that is not an issue in timing my meals.

Sometimes that results in me not eating dinner and truly breaking my fast the next morning. Or, sometimes I won't eat lunch because I am not hungry. Or, even breakfast if I am not hungry.

However, if I am hungry, I eat.

I did this by accident last week, but it was the first time in forever. I don’t intentionally skip meals.

I too, don't intentionally skip meals unless it is for a medical test or procedure. I have at times when I get busy mid-day and don't get lunch and suddenly it is 4pm. But I usually realize I am hungry and grab a snack till dinner. I may eat a smaller meal if I am not really hungry. I have found it hard to intentionally skip a meal through which shows the mental side of this.

During the week I don't skip meals. On Saturday/Shabbat, however, I often skip dinner because we often have a heavy lunch, and I'm just not hungry for dinner. I'm not sure there's much of an effect, but I do sometimes use that to "rationalize" having a couple of glasses of wine late-night!

I have been missing breakfast and eating a piece of fruit. Coffee is my favorite part of breakfast,

I sometimes skip dinner if I have large lunch.

A bowl of FF yogurt with fruit, granola and add SF Cool Whip is my evening snack.

On Maintenance it makes me aware that 3 meals adds up to my daily SPs quickly.

On occasion we will go out for a Sunday Brunch which almost always is an oversized meal, in that case we do a 2 meal day instead of a 3 meal day, but it only happens every other month or so.

Not on purpose but it happens without consequence for me. I sometimes forget to eat breakfast or lunch when super busy and distracted as I am not usually particularly hungry.

I always drink coffee in the morning though.

On Friday (our weigh-in day) we'll often eat breakfast late (11ish), then go out to dinner, or I'll make something special, and we'll have some alchololic beverage.

Yikes! I rarely miss a meal. It’s been a long time.
