This is such a letdown. I really tried hard this week. I'm feeling so annoyed and frustrated. It really sucks. I got in my car from my weigh-in and stopped off for milk, and walked out with cookies. I ate three in the car before I stopped myself. Bad habits die hard, man. My head knows it's a midlife and thyroid thing, but still... so incredibly disappointing and frustrating.1 -

@ethelsmommy, I feel your disappointment and frustration and I get it. I have nothing constructive to say to you....just keep plugging along, I guess. The alternative is to say "scr3w it" and just let the weight pile on, which I know you don't want. I am sooooo glad that you stopped yourself after three cookies, and I know how hard that was to do, so well done!!1 -

@ethelsmommy, I hear you on those cookies! Goodness, what do they lace that junk food with !! I go into a sugar like coma of happiness 🙂I was eating ice cream out of the pint container today, ( thought the smaller size would assist me with portion control! Ha that was a joke )

My spirit animal, Nigella Lawson, says that there are no "guilty pleasures", just "pleasure". The key is balance and a lot of Pilates, lol! (Hey, it works for her. ) I'm going to try and remember that from now on, you know what I mean?1 -

I’ve gained, not unexpected.
Started the week really well but had a really upsetting and frightening incident at work on Thursday, came home ate a packet of biscuits and got a takeaway. It’s really sad to know that after so much hard work old habits are still so close below the surface. I’m really struggling with my work situation at the moment but don’t want it to sabotage my weigh loss and health.2 -
Mini challenge, Sunday, 8/18/19

Knew yesterday wasn’t going to be a good start since we were driving back after dropping our daughter off at school but still wanted to be on record as starting the mini challenge again. Husband and I are trying to use the empty nest to our advantage and eat better and exercise. Wish us luck.1 -

Things have gotten crazy, *again*, but I'm slowly getting back into things! On Saturday I adopted a beautiful 3mo old puppy from the humane society. We waited outside under a tree for almost six hours (huge line of people looking to adopt that day). We took our dog with us to make sure they got along well! It was a long day, but we love our new addition to the family!!!
I have been taking extra walks and running(a lot!) after the little guy as we have started house breaking him! I have been trying to follow IF the past few days and only eating in the mid afternoon, and I think that is getting the ball rolling for me again.
