Binge eating after loss of my husband last year

I lost my husband to ALS last year. I became a binge eater after that. I've always been an emotional overeater but tipped way over the edge.
After more than a year of that, I woke up one day and decided that I was done. I knew I needed to stop for health reasons and knew it was no way to honor my husband's memory.
I joined mfp in June and started eating a pescatarian diet which is plant based with seafood, eggs and some dairy.
Within two weeks, there was no desire to binge anymore. My cravings for sweets was gone, too. My anxiety and depression symptoms had lessened.
I had recent bloodwork and my GP and endocrinologist were thrilled. I'm off of insulin and all the other results were in the normal range.
I'm down just shy of 30 pounds and am very happy with my results so far. I still have another 40 to go.
Thanks for reading. 💟
