Shifting that last bit of tummy fat to help tone up

I'm trying to shift the last bit of tummy fat and tone up but I'm not sure the best place to start.
What have people found seemed to work best? I'm not sure if I should shift that bit of abdominal fat first and then start toning or do both at the same time.
Any help or suggestions would be really appreciated!

I'm not sure what you mean by lose the fat first then tone but start lifting now (or yesterday if you have access to a time machine) this will help preserve muscle as you lose weight to give you a more toned/defined appearance when you get to goal
If you are already at goal weight and still not happy with your body composition, you can also look into recomp, so maintaining your weight to lose fat and gain muscle. See this link
