Hello! I joined this group because, as I think we all know, losing weight over 40 is MUCH harder! I don't even know how my body knows it's over 40, but all the things I used to do to get to my goal weight (after travel, holidays, etc.) have failed me. I did a month at 1200 cals (often less) per day with 16:8 IF and lost just 3 pounds! In the past this would have lost me up to 15 lbs. I'm at my highest weight ever, officially overweight according to my smart scale, and have, for the past month, just kind of given up. I am the exact weight I was a month ago, after a month of eating whatever. I really want to lose 20 lbs but I'm at a loss! I know there are no magic secrets but does anyone think I was maybe not eating *enough*? I was careful to not do cardio because for me, cardio leads to weight gain unless I'm using it for maintenance (it helps me maintain, but not lose, because it makes me much hungrier.) Any suggestions are welcome! I've tried all the diets.
