i missed being here and i'm having to restart my weight loss journey and this place always helps a little peace & love to you all4 -
Today I didn't get out there for exercise but I was out in the wind for the seals. Pup is getting lots of fat rolls as we head into the third and final week he will be with Mom.
Exercise was all my rehab at the gym. Physio added another batch of exercises to my routine yesterday so it takes me quite a while to get through them especially since it is all slow and controlled movements.
Stopped at work to inject snakes and headed down to the seals. It feels like everyday is a new crisis to avoid with them but they have mostly been oblivious to the crises, which is the aim. Today was a fishing competition in the area but the fishermen have been amazing and keep it off their way, then rumours of a rare bird in the area threatened to bring hordes of twitchers, but luckily the bird was sighted elsewhere. One of the visitors I dealt with was the hod of the zoology department at the university. She was surprised when I wouldn't let her step over the barrier we have to get a better photo. We are not even allowed over the barrier, it is to keep disturbances away from the seals! Many of our volunteers are zoology students so they all enjoyed me refusing to give into her requests.
Feeling really tired and hungry today but I still stayed within my budget and I'm going to sleep early to try and get some of my energy back before the busy week ahead.7 -

Lost another pound today. I'm 1.4 pounds away from "normal" (not overweight) but I could easily lose another 10-15.

Good on calories. Weight went back up a bit. It's hard to tell now-- I'm getting within a couple pounds of my goal weight so things are slowing down, and at the same time I started the 3x per week parkour class which is causing some good body recomposition and might also affect my weight loss rate as fat becomes muscle.
But since this is the UAC: logging, being under on calories, and consistency are what really matter more than the scale!5 -

so i think my biggest challenge while coming back into my weightloss journey, is having to gaining back the strength & energy i lost. i used to do strength training & yoga pretty regularly but today i got so exhausted from the super simple & light bodyweight exercise it's actually upsetting. i havent worked out in quite a while so i'm completely out of tune. just gotta keep slowly reintroducing my usual routine and build back my muscles.
another challenge is that i love to bake and cook which makes it hard to accurately track calories on a meal where all the ingredients are combined into one dish and each food can't be accounted for individually..... AND baked goods = high calories..... i nearly panicked when i finally realized just how many calories are in my homemade flour tortillas!! and tonight the slice of cake i made i'm pretty sure nearly took over most of my calories so now i've gotta either cut back all together on the indulgent stuff or find a way to just scale down the portions and use less sugar & fat in baked goods.
but it's almost an impulse to make something for dessert LOL i can't help it i'm a baker, but instead of a whole pan of cake i'll start making individual cupcakes for better portion & calorie control7 -
No spin today but plenty of outdoor yard work and playing catch with my cattle dog🙂 stayed under my goal logged my food and changed my calorie count to a lower amount5
-
Exercise: yes. normal treadmill but my husband forced into a walk outside in the cold.
Calories: over... not happy about this but it is my own fault for not tracking earlier during the day
Tracked: yes

Update on the previous post:
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes, walking for 45 minutes
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes, I actually came home and added everything I ate and it's actually registering under my calories for today, but I'm still calling a 1/3 pass day for the month because I wasn't able to measure and had to eye my portions, but thanks to all the walking it shows as under.
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes.
Excited for the wedding tomorrow!!5 -

@BonnieHosk85 Tres leches is worth a pass day!
We lived in Costa Rica for one year and we will be back there at Thanksgiving. Our Costa Rican host family's Mom is a wonder with tres leches.2 -
@angelswatercolor I was super dedicated to working out for 5 years and starting over with light dumbbells is so hard! Keep pressing on! We can do it!
Exercise: 2 hours walking (2 miles with dogs and 3.5 with hubby)
Calories: still on track but today has been a challenge and I want to snack so bad and I haven't just sat and snacked for months!
Logged every bite!
Yesterday I saw a new low weight on the scale (finally hit 130s!) And then today was up 3lbs for no reason other than it could be getting close to that time of the month. So that's annoying. Lol5 -

Back in the pool today, then grocery shopping. The rest of day was active at home: cooking, tidying, etc. We finished the day meeting our daughter and fiancé for dinner at a Thai restaurant. I googled healthy Thai choices beforehand so I was armed with information. The curry suggestion was perfect, loaded with veggies and brown rice on the side. Yum! I took half home for tomorrow. I always feel empowered when I successfully negotiate a tricky restaurant situation.
So yes on exercise, tracking (did my best logging the Thai meal) and calories.5 -
